Hope to see some RX-7s there! We're changing venues this year, and it's looking like this will be the best Mazfest yet!

You know I'll be there!

Passengers allowed?

Spirit Rx-7 04-24-09 10:59 PM

hmmmm, maybe!

Drifter288 04-25-09 01:54 AM

Sounds to me like a pre-sevenstock get together.

RE Drifter 04-25-09 01:59 AM

I have no experience on a track like this I would love to run but looks like I can't, this sucks

REPU_74 04-25-09 01:59 AM

Are you sure? Because the last two have been, well, less than memorable...

Natey 04-25-09 03:42 PM

This one won't be out in the middle of nowhere like Buttonwillow is, it's pretty close, time-wise to Sevenstock, and it won't be quite so hot either. I think Cal Speedway will be a much more convenient venue for most people.

I had a blast last year...I think I got about 50 laps in on sunday afternoon alone.

MaczPayne 04-25-09 05:20 PM

I had a blast too, way too much track-time for my first time! My car should be better prepared this time around.

FDSeoul 04-26-09 02:48 AM

Yes!!!!! love the track!!!! i'll be there with my shit. damn now i just have to find people in the san diego area to roll with:)

Natey 04-27-09 04:59 PM

I'll ask about parking and ride alongs and get back to you guys. :)

FDSeoul 04-27-09 05:09 PM

+1 on that^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Natey 04-27-09 05:38 PM

Yes, ridealongs will be allowed.
Yes, there will be secure parking for spectators.

NO gate fee. Free entry for all.

FDSeoul 04-27-09 05:40 PM

how are the vendor turnouts for this event?

Natey 04-27-09 06:12 PM

Looks like about 20 so far, and we're waiting for confirmation from dozens of others. From Tripoint and Mariah, to AWR and Corksport to name a few. :)

Like I touched on earlier, this ain't Buttonwillow anymore, and it'll be much more convenient for us AND vendors/sponsors to make it.

Corksport should bring a slew of N/A Headers at reduced prices. I'd buy one then and there.

True. Sorry I can't make it this year. Hopefully it turns back into what it was supposed to be!:icon_tup:

MaczPayne 04-27-09 08:12 PM

No gate fee is great news!

namelesspenguin 04-28-09 01:17 PM

^werd! ill be there fo sho. ill take my roommie and his mazda 3 he just acquired

mazpower 04-28-09 03:04 PM

I would LOVE to come out and drive at this one...but the 13s just don't cut it on the FB, my Miata will be in need of a rollbar, and the FD won't be done in time. :(

So unless someone let me borrow a set of 4x110 wheels for the FB, I'm gonna have to sit this one out.

Natey 04-28-09 03:11 PM

Spacers + Miata wheels = W1N
