I signed up with the understanding the cap would be 70 cars. Can you please reconsider adding the 10 additional entries?

The show, dyno, etc... is still set though! Please come out and enjoy the rides, vendors and all other activities!

I was under the impression based on the website, that there would be 75 spots. There were 72 paid, and I sent my money via pay pal. when will we know if we can run?? I contacted Redline back on the 12th, they got back to me on the 14th, but the email gave the wrong paypal address. I cleared that up today, but my question stands... Thanks, Carl Byck

One last thing(that is obviously a lie, I cannot keep my mouth shut), I would be running in the most experienced/open passing group. Generally that group is lightly attended, so if it makes a difference, please consider as other open track organizers do...

One other note, if someone somehow breaks thir car between now, and then, please call me at 707-696-2705, and we can work something out with regard to registration fees.

And last,(for this post) if I trailer 8 hours down there, I certainly would hope that it will not be a "wait, and see" as to whether the last several registrants can run. I suppose after the first session half the guys will have likely overheated, and wrapped it up, but that is a long drive to bet on that. PLEASE LET US DRIVE

All of the additional divers will be in the BEGINNER groups... the event was over subscribed with many first timers, and we needed to create a second run group to accomodate them... if you would like to opt out due to this, please contact REDLINE and let them know.

Glad your in Carl... I had no doubts.... but please don't bail at the last minute again!!

Cheers,

Ok so now we have four run groups instead of three? Is the schedule running longer or do all of the groups have less track time?

So, Bern, I am going to be in a beginner group??? With all due respect to the begginers, Without open passing, I will be opting out. Shame, But cannot justify a 8 hour tow down to LA to do a track tour. Sorry, I will notify Redline asap if this cannot be corrected. Not to be a whiner, but no mention was made of this prior to registering. Regards, and have fun, Carl

Bern, this really makes no sense, the beginners groups are always large, why make them worse. If an expert group has 15 drivers vs 16 what's the difference. I guess I'll Debut the car at a different event, that's a shame... After 15 years of open tracking, I cannot go for a 45mph train ride, sorry.

So each of the original 70 drivers lost an hour or more of track time due to the additional 10 drivers? That doesn't seem right.

I haven't requested my money back quite yet, but I'm on the fence.

I've seen greed ruin potentially good track days, and it feels like the additional $1450 is the motivation. Some money back in the pockets of the original 70 will dissolve that theory.

beginner group??? WHY?????

Carl, with all due respect, why would you be in the beginner group? Did you sign-up for the beginner group? If you did "NOT" sign-up for the beginner group, then you will NOT be in the beginner group. Ok, why do you say that you re in the beginner group? Did someone tell you were in the beginner group?

And no mention was made of what???

Just trying to get to the bottom of your delima...

Dude the accusation of greed sucks... my man!!! That actaully has nothing to do with it at all!! We do events to give back to the enthusiast... we are not really making any money on this deal... so please keep that kind-of crap off this discussion.... if you want to think that fine, but I assure that this is not the case...

we needed to accomodate a few more RX runners, so we expanded the track by about 5 total participants... no real biggie... track time will be about the same for all groups... when I said the schedule was adjusted accordingly, I meant the track time would be started earlier and lunch shortened, to make up the difference! PLEASE CONTACT REDLINE FOR DETAILS.... if they say different, than blast them!

If you think we are greedy for trying to get a few more of your fellow RX peeps on the track, so be it, but please let us know if you are opting out ASAP, so we can give the spot to other RX guys waiting for a spot...

Many Miata, RX runners waiting....

All I can say is that this event is going to be cool, and I hope you all make it out... it's going to be fun!

Right now I'm enrolled in beginner but I have 20 weekends track experience. If my car is working right I'll try to get bumped up to intermediate.

Regardless anyone is welcome to ride along in the Blue Bridgeport! Bring earplugs!

Just as an FYI... Brad "chose" to be in the BEGINNER GROUP because he was going to run the REPU.

I'll be driving up Thursday night so I can run the Speedventures track day the day before.

If ride alongs are allowed at this event you are more than welcome to ride with me or have me ride with you. I'm not a Buttonwillow expert (only 2 track days in my FD there) but I could give you a few pointers I'm sure.

Berny, My apologies, I thought I read that all late entries were going to be placed in the beginners group. I will post a public apology, I guess I was up too late, I am very sorry, and I will read more carefully in the future. You run a class act, and are a huge benefit to the community. Berny, THANK YOU for all your efforts on this, and SS. Best regards, and I look forward to shaking your hand in person, Carl Byck

My comments were to let everyone know that we had potentially opened a "second" BEGINNER group, due to demand. I never told anyone what group they were in DUE to registration date. You will be in the group that "you" signed up for, when you sent in your registration to REDLINE.

To all, the abiove is the email I recieved(it begins with mey apology to Berny), seems I stirred up a hornets nest, My apologies to all. If you read the whole thread, the track time is essentially the same. It will be a great time, if you are not sure, price out the Speed ventures event the day before. Once again, Bern puts together a class act, and this time I really blew it, sorry to all. Sincerely, Carl Byck
