Mazda wants to win....
This is great and further, it's about time. Seems like " Rotary Power" has taken the back burner though in the LMP2 race seasons since 2006.
My frustration is that Mazda seems to not have a strong budget for this particular race program. Damn... I am thirsting to see the Rotary Engine proudly take podium or even collect multiple wins, it would be a definite step forward towards improved performance of their chosen 3 rotor power plant and create a commanding level of respect amongst the competition, Porsche and Acura.
Unfrotunately such is not the case , and this year, Mazda decided to switch power plants to a 2.0L turbo from AER in England, and to quote " ditched the hot and heavy rotary engine". Gotta love the underdog

If you want to see a 3 rotor peripheral port race, set your DVR to record the Grand Am GT race today. The 70 car is 2nd in season points and has a good chance to win the championship.

AMLS P2 is just too darn expensive. Do you see all the factory backed Porsche and Acuras?

AMLS is expensive..this is the worst part. Mazda and it's race history is well deserving as far as being able to compete...it boggles me to see set backs like this.
Will try and catch the Grand AM race for sure...I think the RX8 design is not that bad...full carbon fiber set-up is awesome.
