Man, I just gotta say...Im extra excited for my boy Mike Whiddett and his FURSTY Drift FD....dude, this guy comes with the heat yet again....he ditched the crazy loud 3 rotor in exchange for 26b PP FOUR ROTOR.

God and Felix Wankel are sitting back just chilling while admiring this

all that motor for drifting.... /shrug

sometimes I think drifting has become the Led Zeppelin of motorsports..... overly elaborate and bloated. Imma play a guitar solo with a violin bow... Imma do burn outs with a 4 rotor.

Hahaha...yeah, I sort of agree. Don't get me wrong, I think drifting is cool and fun, but I really prefer to watch/do road racing. I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. ^.^

I would kill for that motor though!!

i mean don't get me wrong. drifting is a motorsport. it's a skill set unto its own... the problem is when what makes a car/driver good leaves the drifting track and into bumpers, motors, etc.... I understand that aesthetics is a large part of the drifting circuit; however, I strongly caution for it that it takes place outside of the actual run on any aesthetic outside of that driver's run. Drifting must be careful not to turn the sport into some car show.

Great engine but WTF cares?!? Are drifters racing against time, setting speed records?

What do you think surfing, ballet dancers, professional skateboarders, freestyle bikers, actors, drifters, blue angels, all have in common? They show off their skill, entertain people, and LOOK COOL. Hate one, might as well hate them all, Or you are a hypocrite. Dislike is one thing, being a hypocrite about it is another.

Also, a lot of the understeer, oversteer concepts and techniques used in drifting are used in rally racing and professional motorsports as well. A lot of the "drifters" in japan are involved in professional motorsports (I.E: Time attacks and the sort) as well. Same in europe and the states.

AcidAngel: Scoot Sports already made a 12A 4 rotor.

PS: This FD is badass, regardless of what the hell it is doing. I will be looking forward to seeing it in November.

+ 1. Legitimate drifters have my respect fully, just as much as road racers and other's involved in motorsports.

With Mad Mike, he's managed to fully represent for Rotaries consistently, and now with this latest effort..I look forward to seeing a lot more of him and a collection of victories under his belt while being ROTARY powered.
