I've seen toyota tercels on the track and i dint say, " hey you're car is stupid, why are you out here?" i congratulate them for driving and being out there unlike others who build cars and never really drive them.

Exactly to each his own, if people want to drift let him drift, it is fun to do but not really to watch. As for the car, functional or not, it still looks like crap to me. How much you want to bet that if you took that wing off he would get the same or even better times than he did before? Whats all this talk about taking each other to the track, geez chill out guys, maybe we should all just have a pissing contest.

That car may not be pleasant to look at, but I wouldn't call it rice. He actually competes with it. He ran the Red Line Time Attack Buttonwillow event. It sounds like he does other events as well from what other people have said.
And, as I have actually worked as a vehicle aerodynamicist (http://www.linkedin.com/in/rayayala), despite the wing not being nearly as large as the C6R wing, it will indeed impart some downforce on the car, which should help his lap times. C6 Vettes are not in downforce from the factory (I've benchmarked a few personally), so any reduction of lift would be beneficial to his lap times. Though, that being said, I am not saying that his setup is optimized by any means.
