a little smog advice please?

mmm well my fc runs..

but the timing needs to be set and same with the tps.
since i fiddled with the tps it too much. im thinking of just buying another used one

but my timing is off and the exhaust gas smells lean. Im not sure if its lean or very lean. but would this be a good chance to take it and get it smogged? the car runs great, pulls the to redline good with a RB 12lb flywheel. i know its harder for a FC to pass smog in cali. help anyone ?

I'll need to get a Smog TEST not a check, it is a salvage title.

Sir that place is highly rated. Although, it smells kinda funny inside. Somewhat like they used too much bleach on their table cloth. I don't dine there, just take out.

I'm really not sure how you can tell the difference between lean or really lean with out a smog machine or gas analyzer. you probably don't want to sniff your exhuast too much but back to your question. no running your car too lean will create a higher NOx reading because of the excessive heat. atleast I think because thats what they teach us about piston engines.. ehh someone will correct me shortly.
