I don't know what the hell happen...reglbgle said he saw you all driving and tried honking at you all but you all kept driving, i guess you all didn't hear him or something...
I think i might have been posted at different chev. that was a little further down the road and didn't take note of the street address...I waited there for about a half hour wondering if everyone rolled out, went home, or just headed up to julian
And as far as quoting my post...I know what time I said...I ran into issues on the way up and had to take care of them...
Mikey, I tried calling and text him several times b4 i left, on the way up there, and while i waited...Which was why i was partly late...Archie said he was going or wasn't sure if he was going but he didn't answer the phone either...So i don't know...
All i know is that trip in the end costed me 200+ miles...ending up 20 miles outside the county line off the 8 free way it was long ******* day...
I got to the gas station at 11am and didn't get home till 6:30pm

I guess we all ened up a bit out of sorts today. Some mis-communication, I suppose. Oh well.
I, myself, started off on the wrong foot by underestimating the time it would take to get to the starting point. I did not arrive until about 10:50 am. After filling up the tank, we talked for a while, wondering if others would show, or if they already had and then left.
I vaguely remembered the other meeting location mentioned, but did not have it written down, nor had I mapped it out previously. Finally, close to 11:30 am, we decided to take off.
Somewhere along Hwy 79, near the turn-off to Anza/Indio, a white RX-8 blasts up just about on my rear. He drifted back and then flashed his lights. Soon afterwards, he made that turn to Indio. I and the rest of the group were already committed. With the traffic and narrow road, there was no way to make a change. Out the rear, I also saw a red (3rd gen?) with black / carbon fiber hood follow the white 8. Did not really notice any others. Since the planned run was heading to Julian, I thought it might just be a coincidence.
From Teddy's note above about getting home around 6:30 pm, it worked out better in the long run. I had not planned for an all-day affair; getting home about 3:00pm worked better for us. If I had seen the route ahead of time, that might have made a difference.
Anyway ...
The bottom line ... if everyone had a good run today, no matter which direction
they headed, or what group they were with, then it must have
been a great day on the sunny back roads of southern California!

John

yeah same here...I didn't take note of how long it takes to get to the starting point and aside from that i was at the wrong chev. LOL...
The only reason why i got home that late was because i continued to take the 79 out to the 8 free way not knowing that was not the correct road to take...I had no clue that thats where it was going to leave me out there in the end...But i was kinda glade I took that route...there was no one out there, no one behind me, no in front of me the whole route...Was able to stop take pics enjoy the sunset, and enjoy the ride...
Instead of taking the 78 like i was going too and how I originally had planed and then only having to make a left turn to get to the the 8 I would have been home a long time ago...Hell it would have took me 30 min's to get to the 8 from julian and another 45 min's to get home...But i missed the turn and wasn't paying attention to detail and thought that the road i was on was the one i originally had planed for...Oh well lol..
Better luck on the next cruise I hope...lol

We just added about 15 miles to the trip out there by turning down Anza road. Best twisties in town!!!. No traffic, no stop signs, just great roads that you have all to yourself.

We overdosed on Pie.
We went to moms pies, then on the way out we stopped by the Julian Pie Company.
