Hey Turbo dave..how did the rear hatch look on that FC? Was it in good condition??

 

Went to monrovia pick a parts and found the one fb,also two fc's one s4 4lug & one s5 vert.fb was still semi intact except for the driver side front tender,s4 Mostly complete,looked like it had a electrical fire,s5 vert stripped but engine & trans still intact.

 

Why didn't I see the FCs!?!?!

 

Idk....lol.they were only one or two rows over on the right.lol.

Went to Wilmington Ecology and bought that rear hatch I was looking for off a s5. Thanks Turbo dave! I only paid $66 for the hatch. The body shop wanted over $200 to repair the rusted section on mine.

 

Anybody been to the San Bernadino Pic a Part or (I think) Fontana Ecology recently?

 

Went to the pick your part this past sunday in stanton and no fcs.

Went to ecology in wilmington today. They JUST dropped down a white s4 fc burgundy interior, motor and everything still pretty much intact.

 

ontario had a black s4, red interior pretty much all there. no spiffy goodies though. Also had a FB there pretty much in tact

 

Do S4 parts usually fit on a S5?

 

Depends on the part. But I'd say more parts are interchangable between S4's and S5's than not. From a function standpoint, some interchangable parts from an S4 are actually better than the related S5 parts. For instance, S4 lower control arms will let you replace the ball joints. S5 lower control arms, you have to replace the whole control arm. Conversely, upgrading an S4 turbo and manifold to S5 is considered a better way to go.

Most anything that is interchangable has been discussed in this forum more than a few times. So the Search function is definitely your friend in that regard.

I dont remember seeing a s5 vert at all. I think it was a s4 vert I saw before, but its gone now.

 

2 fc's in the sun valley octopus.

 

Any more updates on the Wilmington Ecology? Did anyone check it out this passed weekend?

 

Cool thread! ***** funny....in my yard i use to have about 4-5 88-91 rx7's, 2 convertibles.....and nothing neveerrrrr sold off them. they were pretty complete too. this was few years back tho, i scraped them by now.

if i was on this forums earlier, i woulda *****'d out those cars for cheap.

all i get left now is a FD body rolled over. its been dried to the bone now, and my only extra parts car for my FD.

 

In Chula Vista saw 2 FC's in Pick A Part. One a 4 lug one a 5 lug. Both motors gone. transmissions and other small parts available.

 

hey guys, i went to the pick a part at monrovia, the one on peck street
found only one rx7 it was a white s4 convertible, blue interior, still has lots of parts, i only took the triangle piece from the doors, i need black interior pieces so nothing was usable for me except for the surround cluster but that was broken

 

50% off until monday but PUP in Sun Valley is somewhat dry. One SA and one S4 vert.

 

pick a part at peck street had 3 rx7's
1 coupe s4- completely stripped from the interior, motor there and engine parts too
1 s4 convertible, someone removed the engine today, blue interior but nothing useful for me
and 1 s5 coupe engine gone, transmission was removed but still there, blue interior still some useful stuff
thats all i saw but i think someone told me there was 4 rx7's in total but didnt have time to spot it

i got the surround cluster no cracks at all scored lol some plastic seat belt holder thing by the side of the seat, 1 triangle by window, 19 bucks for everything bc 50%off

i still need some things like a new idiot light plastic surround, the 2 vents in the middle of the dashboard, the vents in the doors, and the middle seat cover thing
