Ladies, I have seen this fc in question first hand. Everything is where it's supposed to be, except for the nut behind the wheel.

Question Not to put you on the spot, but since you've actually seen the car.......

What would be a fair price considering the condition of this S4's body and interior coupled with a blown engine? How bad is the front end damage?

Just trying to find perspective to potential sum total purchase price and costs to fix it's deficiencies in comparison to market resale value of a S4 TII without these deficiencies.

the car is worth more than the 800 he is asking. i have seen it in person and it is great. easy to replace parts. just the front end. overall, its a steal, thats y i am disappointed i am too poor to afford it at this moment

I'm glad you asked.

With people you don't really know, it's hard to guage just how reasonably priced something is. Your valuation and the valuation of other people are far from similar. But I will say this, the question of just how reasonably priced this fc is, is in direct correlation with Dom's maturity and his ability to gain insight on most everything he does. He would not shoot out a price that he felt would be unreasonable himself. In other words, he priced this fc for the same amount that he'd buy it from someone else for without feeling cheated.

Fair enough

So, Dom, shoot me a PM with an address so I can stop by and check it out myself.

Thanks.

I've got pics. Just need someone to host them for me. Anyone that can host pictures for me...please send me a PM w/ your email address. Thank you in advance.

Now,...just to answer some questions...

This car is a Turbo II. I am not trying to convert a NA into a TII.
I bought the car as a rolling chassis. The engine was blown to begin with. Don't ask me how...as I don't know.

I think the pics will explain some of the damage. I'm getting a lot of questions regarding the body and what not. I can only describe it as I see it. The pictures will explain everything.

Here is the VIN for anyone that cares to run a carfax: JM1FC332XJ0613311 (does someone want to post up the history? If so...that would be greatly appreciated)

The passenger side front damage was damaged in the front end collision. The driver side fender was not, BUT it had a door ding on it. So I bought another fender and placed it on there. Why did I do this? Because I'm somewhat meticulous when it comes to my project cars. The door ding would've drove me nuts if I left it there.

For those of you who have sent me PMs. I will be busy this weekend, so odds are...I will not be able to check the PMs until late Sunday.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I"M GOING TO DO. I'm going to have the pictures posted up. That way, you guys can see and determine whether you are still interested or not. Then I will post my phone number. Contact me, and we will arrange for a time to meet and view the vehicle.

For those of you who have sent me PMs...sorry...but I am doing this because it is the most efficient way to gauge whether you are still interested or not. I simply don't have time to call people...only to find that they are no longer interested. I only want to deal w/ people who are interested. Therefore, I am deleting all current PMs.

Now...I must admit that I have misplaced the title at the moment. I know I have it somewhere...just need to find it. I can always have a "Lost title" filled out w/ the DMV.

I'm going to post a time/day of when I'll have the pics up.

As far as seeing the car goes...my schedule changes all the time. I'll have the car available for viewing on weekends or...if on a weekday...it'll be after 5 o'clock.

One more thing...I am selling it as a COMPLETE car! I don't care to part it out, as I don't have time to do so.

THAT is quite the project car

Nah, not red inside. The lighting makes it look that way.

Does look complete under the hood. But with all the other issues I see, this looks more a donor candidate than a restoration candidate.

The interior is blue. Lighting makes it look reddish.

As I said...I'm really upfront in regards to my damage accessment of the car. I took pictures of everything and made no attempt to hide anything. I had extensive plans for this car...as if anyone saw my previous for sale thread in the West forum...you could tell the amount of work I planned to do. Realistically at this point in time, I just don't have the time to devote to such a project.

Anyone that is interested, please send me a PM and I will respond w/ my cell phone number. I will be busy this weekend, so I will probably not return the PM until Monday.

If I can't get rid of it...it will be pushed off a cliff (inside joke).

Sorry to say you're gonna get ripped off if you can't part it... someone buying a shell with rear body damage is probably buying it as a donor, and blue interior isn't popular... so the best thing about the car is the parts under the hood. You've got a good tranny in there, possibly good engine parts, various engine components.

You might be able to get 500$, I'd say ask that much... I wouldn't say someone got ripped off for buying it for that much... I mean, there's a chance that engine is rebuildable or something, then it'd be a steal. But it's a donor car really unless someone is looking for a major project... and people sell shells for cheaper than you could ever part them out for.

Also post the mileage... if it's low-ish it'll also sell better. Good luck!

Just to clarify further....I am NOT going to part it out. It will be sold as a complete car.

I DO NOT have any time to part it out. I don't have time to work on the car as is...therefore...I will not part it out either.

Can you give me an honest estimate of how much it would cost to get rid of the rust, and fix the major body damage?

I don't have an estimate for the body damage. Depends on how extensive of a job you want to do...

Me? I'm somewhat psycho. I was planning to do a full overhaul. Also was planning an aftermarket body kit...therefore...the "stock" body wasn't really an issue for me. I also bought an Exedy Hyper Single clutch for this car (retail: $1200 I think) and a whole bunch of other high end stuff. I was going to rebuild the entire brake system and everything....so needless to say...an estimated cost of repairs wasn't really an issue for me. Sorry.

I can say that the car's crumple zones in the front...can easily be fixed through a reliable body shop. They can purchase these replaceable panels easily...

The fenders that are on the vehicle now...are good ones. I took off the damaged ones...and searched for good ones.

For the interested buyers...I have returned your PMs w/ my phone number. Call me soon and I'll arrange for a time to look at the vehicle...as I'll be in the Redondo area tomorrow night. Thanks guys...
