Just switch to stock and make sure everything is installed properly. Simple as that.

The ref doesn't care. They are pretty much a hardcore smog inspection station that will go BY THE BOOK to make sure everything is stock. They don't care what was done to the engine before, they only care that its up to code at the time of inspection.

good deal man put it back to stock for the inspection and keep your paper work. maybe even keep the pfc on and run it lean for the inspection to make sure you pass then keep the paper work so you can throw it at the next cop who pulls you over. lol good luck man

They won't be able to tell you have a streetport so that doesn't matter and intercooler mods/replacements are non-issues with them so should be fine.

I'm curious, How does your FD exterior look.

1. Stock body w/ stock rims and tires
2. Stock body w/ after-market rims and tires
3. FD w/ after-market exterior parts(wing, fender, vented hood etc.) or decals

Just curious. You were pulled over cause the way you look. Good Luck on your Ref. inspection.

Not looking to add fuel to the fire, but if you want to effectively berate someone's intelligence... it does help to spell it correctly.

I apologize for accidentally adding a key stroke. I believe my point is still valid.

Im sure California has constantly changing laws just like every other state. But the law is not constitutional and therefore void, if they are found to be in violation of the constitution.

Thats like saying California has a law saying that they will allow slavery regardless what the US government says. It doesnt matter, their laws are superceded by federal law. In this case he is having his personal property searched without a warrant or reasonable cause. This could even be deemed harassment.

whenever I get finished with law school I hope to take a few of these cases to make these police officers go by the book. I may even do a few as pro bono work just for fun.

Unfortunately the War on Drugs ***** all over the constitution, but they get around it by accusing your car or home for a crime.
For example: if you are renting out a house and some drug dealers are living there and are caught, the federal government can seize your house and accuse the house for the crime while leaving you with jack **** and a mortgage.

It isn't about the drugs, its about control over the citizens. The war on drugs allows any unlawful search and seizure based on the probability that you might have something. They get into your car and house all in the name of a "war" on drugs. Thanks Nixon.

Wow... That's scary when a stock looking FD gets pulled over for looking modified. I could understand if you had a huge wing, vented hood etc. but a stock looking FD being pulled over for it's looks. Good Luck on your 2nd Ref inspection, hope it works out.

Your rights? You have the right to get a lawyer. You have the right to pay that lawyer until the bills is at least 100X what the original fine was. Many, many months and thousands of $$s later you may win and then you don't have to pay the fine.

That's the best legal advice you'll get on this forum.

It shouldnt cost that much to pay for council for a traffic violation. if so then you are an idiot for paying your attorney that much.
