me too hahah
my tranny blew up on my 240sx and i had a sr20det in the garage so i pulled hte motor out of the car and removed the front body pieces while the front end was lifted on jacks and probably had it like that for a month while awaiting a few parts to arrive and i recieved one of those letters as well. I got the car running a few days after that letter and crumpled it in the trash lol.
Didnt help my car was like 5 colors lol
eventually the end result

Well, I was hedging on whether to scrap the car or go ahead with the swap, and from the damage we did yesterday to the chassis side of the wiring harness (and the shitty condition that it was in to begin with) I've decided to scrap the car.
I'll be gutting everything usable, and I'll post up a for sale thread.
Anyone know someone with a flatbed that will come pick up the bare chassis (non-rolling) and take it away?

Tom, you live in Mira Mesa right? Was that notice issued by Debolt?
Got the same thing on the Mustang a month ago, for a flat tire. We Fixed that and the guy came by to look at the car. Got in my face and said if the tire was flat again, he's taking the car for himself. The guy's a total dick. It's only going to get worse, with the city outsourcing law enforcement.
I think the more approprate swap would be the GTSIO-520 sitting in the back over by the hiller. Turn the boost up a little and you're good to go.

I'm sure they'd still charge me for it or damage my driveway or something.
GP, yeah it is Debolt. I really wasn't looking forward to dealing with them too.
Now if I scrapped the gray rex and they show up with a tow truck and try to hook up my gold car, someone's getting shot.

Yeah, Debolt's a ******* dick. I called him "Debolt" once and he said "YOU WILL ADDRESS ME AS OFFICER" I explained to him that I only call badged officers officer, not "full time regularly salaried employee of the city" (that's his job title according to SD municipal code. ) Every time the guy puts a notice on one of my cars I find some way to throw it back in his face.
As far as having the car removed, the city WILL bill you for all costs incurred for removal. Hook up, towing, storage, dismantling, envornmental, and any tickets associtated with parking, etc. I have been billed once, never paid, and they never seemed to care. That was 7 years ago, so I'm sure with the deficit we're in, if the city thinks you owe them money then they will come after you for it.
For getting rid of the leftovers, I have a fairly detailed response in this thread from another forum:
