I Passed Smog!

WOAH!..what do you mean that's it!...(LOL)..I'll start this off!..did you do any "tricks" in order to pass Emissions.. there are alot of people that would be interested in your info..Please ellaborate..that's it...haha!

ok ok, first i did not go in with my COW HEAD turbo, i went with the whimpy blow dryer that mazda gave my car.....

anyways, here is what i did
1. Bonez Hi-flow cat for Turbo
2. I actually had a hole stripped on my LIM so my ACV is hella hard to get on...
well... that is a block off plate
3. since the ACV is off, I connected the air pump directly to the Cat
but remember to block off the split air pipe cut it and use that check valve, or else u get SERIOUS back flow from the exhaust to the airpump
so that, and warming my car, i waited for 20 minutes in line, kept my car on.
then the guy saw my old smog record, saw that my HCs were high and the rest was fine, so he used something to hold my gas at 3000 for like 5 minutes then he went on the roller.
Oh and i changed plugs and oil that morning before the smog so it is like 8 miles old.
one last funny thing was that, because my ACV electrical plug was broken ( and stupid me forgot to electric tape the connectors) right after the smog test, i turned out to the road and it shorted and killed my EGI fuse. so I was at the shoulder, next to the smog shop, and took out my whole airpump assembly right in front of the shop and then fixing that short....(shows u how much i care about emissions!)
I've used a ebay Catco cat before this, but it didn't really work, (although the airpump was not directly feeding into the cat at that time) but better safe than sorry, i changed the cat to Bonez.
one more thing though, It seems the cat gets much hotter with the airpump directly feeding Oxygen to the cat, so if the smog shop is more than a few miles away, i'll be careful

I wonder how many people actually LEGALLY pass the smog in CA....
i actually want to do a poll (but wonder if that is like illegal and just showing incriminating evidence against us good Rotor heads.....)
