Contrary to what's been posted, passing smog on an RX-7 isn't especially difficult as long as you have all the smog parts in good shape. Check the forums with the generation appropriate to your car for tips. You MUST have a working air pump, cat, and the emissions hardware or you don't stand a chance. You can get away with a high performance cat. Even though it's not technically legal, no one's gonna care or be able to tell the difference anyway and you can still pass the sniffer. Technically an aftermarket intake is illegal too if it doesn't have a CARB number on it, but it doesn't actually affect smog so they usually let slide.

Driving my car around with my WA lisc, and WA plates/registration. i could prob get by with until i get(hopefully not) pulled over and they have me on record? WAs talkin to my dad about puttin him on registration tonite and he was asking about those. My DD is stock so not to worried about gettin hassled driving it around, But figured my project TII will catch more attention then my DD, but wont be driven it often.

there is also a certain loophole if you just want to get away with just the annual smog.... but in your position i would imagine it being illegal - which isnt something you ever want to do...


you need a permanent california address now to make a po box. really no point to get it because we are all afraid of talibans and **** and non-infadals flying planes into buildings and **** - so you need 2 forms of ID and some form of recipt, mail, bankstatement, what not to even get a PO box....
