Hey Mike,

Look forward to seeing you around LALA Land. Westside Rentals is by far the best website online as far as rental listings for homes go. It's about $60 for a two month login. However, at some point you have to start driving neighborhoods or getting plugged in with where you want to live.

FWIW I found my rental home on Craigslist.

I'll be in LA LA land again this weekend so that i can drive around some places i have in mind.

Smile RXVERT Always in Progress

@ FDSouel, If you do Proceed, proceed with caution, 1st YOU put out the bait, then THEY call you, THEY give information confirmed by phone #'s THEY give you, THEY can probably get you into the house, and after you pay your deposit and move in ,,,, after a week or so the real home owners come back from there vacation. It happened to some San Diegans just this year. Plus your car is worth alot of money. Pay the extra and hire a agency.

Thanks guys for all the inputs and idea. I have managed to fine a great local agent from the site HOTPADS.COM.

I have applied to two spots both being a condo/house with plenty of garage space. THis has been one of the toughest issue i have had in finding a place to feel "safe&secure".

I'll update as i make progress.

Mike, my wife and I have been renting a house in Gardena for almost 2 years now. We found our place very quickly through a realtor (we still have her contact info if you need it). Honestly, the person looking for a place to live should never have to pay to find a place. It's the person that is renting or selling a property that pays any realtor fees or any finders fees for that matter.

See you soon in Gardena, man. Another convenient thing about this area is that Ktown is only 15-20min from my place. (with no traffic, lol)

Point well taken. in fact i am already working with a Realtor who reps homes near and around the areas that I am interested in.
I have already cleared the required credit check and have a list of places to look at for this weekend. It times like this i wish i had a girlfriend to run around doing this **** for me

In any case i am already at the rancho-D office working to finalize the last few things. The commute from SD is really a bitch
