Unhappy Got ticket...Help!!!

I got a ticket last night around Moreno Valley....for mod emission and mod exhaust, also a sticker on the back side of the ticket which syas" STATE REFEREE CERTIFICATION REQUIRED- NO OFFICER SIGN-OFF"....

It will be impossible to change everything back to stock on my FD....Is there anyway i can do to make it pass state referee? my fd does pass smog on March.(in some way)

I'm not going to change things back to stock....so either find a way(under table) to get a certification or make it off road use only...

here are the questions:

(A)If i register the car as a off road use only, do i still have to get certification or pay fine for it? (the cop said something around $2800)

(B)Does anyone get this kind of ticket before? how did you deal with it?

(C)Is there anyway to get a state referee certification without change any parts?

i hope i don't need to make my fd a track car only...

thanks.

I am not aware of any "under the table" SMOG refs. I have seen regular SMOG shops like that, but that's about as good as it gets. From what I know, you are either going to have to change things back to stock or go ahead and bend over. Sorry about the ticket bro.

What mods do you have on your car and why can't you bring it back to stock?

I think if you want there is a fine you can pay instead. Just pay the fine.

Yep, either pay the fine, or put the car back to stock so it will pass. Either way, you will be paying some bucks. Gotta pay to play.

Ouch man! **** that **** sucks to hear Bro. So sorry this had to happen to you. I had so many worries when I drove my FD's around town. Seemed as though I couldn't drive half a mile without feeling the fuzz on my tailpipes. I had no choice but to S2K>FD3S. Good luck with everything dude.

I'm going to ask some "pros" tomorrow....see if they have some "pro" way to handle this problem...

maybe the only thing i didn't mod on the FD is the license plate....that's why i won't change it back to stock....

i will keep update this thread.......if i can find a way to deal with this ****....i think it will be helpful if we still want to drive rotory around.....

I got one like this, and all I did was goto my local traffic court at the payment window and tell them that I didnt have time to get the ticket corrected and I wanted to know how much to pay the fine... I think it was $300-400 and I didnt have to talk to any state ref's!

did your ticket marked "no" on correctable violation?...maybe i should ask the court first... I will be very happy if $300~400 can deal with this... thank you for the info.

Honestly I dont remember... just try to do what I did. I actually was prepared to fix the problem, because at the time my motor had nothing done to it other than the BOV and it being a jspec motor. But just goto your local traffic court payment window and ask them to pull it up on the computer, tell them that you really have no time to fix the ticket and that you would like to know how much the fine is.

BTW it HAS to be a correctable ticket, because thats the whole purpose of the bastard sending you to the state referee, to get smoged and show that its legal.

You can get a ticket for anything, question is if it's "Reasonable" and if the officer can prove that you were in the wrong at that time...

The law still states that you're innocent untill proven guilty, but since you don't have a jury in traffic court, you loose with the judge....

Why is that anyhow !? I thought a trial by jury is a amendment right that you have ? Or does that just raise your court costs ??
Why do so few people get trials by jury ? In traffic situations, I'd think you'd get a better shake with 12 of your peers going yeah he f'd up but he shouldn't loose his shirt over it...
