This car was bought and being built for track use.
I will of eventually went to race gas, but for the first year of learning the 7's characteristecs, suspension tuning, fixing what breaks, etc. I just didn't want the extra exspense of race fuel. I don't need LOTS of HP while in the beginning stages.

No. That was on the stock manifold and internal wastegate. That is the turbo I had before this one. I can post that graph as well.
Now I have a Garrett single ball bearing similar to a 60-1. I don't know any specs. I traded the builder for an N/A motor I had.

even so you still have more options like the methanol/water injection which was recommended which would cost you about the same amount as swapping to the racegate WG. $500 is something you either have to bite the bullet on or not complain about the price of race gas. you have 3 options, bigger wastegate/water or meth injection/racegas. in all honesty the middle option is the best and how i have built cars with much more power than that that run safely at higher boost levels all the way up to 9k RPMs(PFC maxed out map and the power curve still hadn't peaked yet).
but if you want more control over your boost then you either need to be 100% sure that the spring in your current wastegate is the smallest weakest spring that they offer or get a larger wastegate, end of story. i've been in the same situation before and opted for the methanol instead which fixed the issue but you will be limited and will not be able to detune the car if you wish.
so in the end the water/methanol allows you to drive the car on pump gas to make you the money invested back, same as the racegate wastegate except that the methanol allows you to gain power versus detune it to do the same job.
16+ psi is unsafe on strict pump fuel versus 22 PSI on water/meth 50% mix. so in the end it just depends what your goals are and make the decision there. exception is if your water/methanol kit ever craps out so does your motor, then again there is anything that is bolted onto that motor that also gives the same effect even at 5psi-16PSI+
honestly though, if i could i would install a water/meth injection kit on every 7 that comes through the door and it makes me wonder why any tuner would tell you "you're stuck with racegas". that's just dumb and narrowminded thing to say without many outs which is a tuners job to diagnose and suggest what path to follow. your tuner is someone you look to with the knowledge to tell you all possible avenues to take.

I do not mean to offend the OP but he does not seem to know much about the performance side cars, which lets the tuner to manipulate the OP.
Some top tuning shops in Japan (such as Amuse) do not modify car beyond the knowledge of the car’s owner. They do not want someone in control of something they do not understand. I fully believe in that way of thinking.
Go racegate.

Thanks for all the replys.
I never payed any attention to meth/water inj as this is my first swim in the rotary pool.
What kits/manufacturers should I be looking at? And should I have the haltech control it or just on its own?
What would meth/water inj AND racegate get me? Is it too much? My main concern is safety cushion in the engine as I abuse them when on the track. And maybe a little more torque. And maybe....
Thanks again

I use AEM water/meth injection kit. I have mine welded into the greddy elbow. I read some threads that show impressive results by spraying directly into the compressor of the turbo (pre-turbo injection). I have a 50mm Synapse Synchronic Wastegate, I'm sure that should be efficient. Either way, Nelson is a great tuner and wouldn't steer you wrong. I am actually taking my car back there for my new motor soon. Best of luck to you and hope you are able to get what you need done.

synapse seem like good wastegate, especially for rotary turbos due to the amount of adjustability that they offer as they can open sooner with the rotary exhaust which typical spring and valve type wastegates don't offer.
water/methanol and the wastegate is ideally the way to go since you can lower the boost if desired with the larger wastegate and the methanol/water injection will offer a safety buffer for the race gas to prevent detonation under the high heat stresses of the track.
i have used the AEM and Devil's own kits on most builds but the devil's own have been switching things around too much lately and has resulted in one blown controller while priming the pump on my latest install so i'm starting to not trust them so much anymore.
