Last time I checked, Miatas were made by Mazda. How is it obvious that a Rotary Miata would be a Non-Mazda Rotary?

No need for sarcasm, boss. An SA is not an FB, FC, FD, Old School, or Non-Mazda. All I'm saying. SA's (78-80) are First Gens, but not FB's.

I've got an SA; it's closest to an FB, so I'll put it in that section. Those of us who drive them are sort of partial to their uniqueness, even though they're harder to get stuff for.

And I'm appreciative of your efforts - - SevenStock is a huge event for me, and it bummed me out that I didn't make it last year - - I got sidelined because I couldn't find an SA-specific part, in fact.

The 'judging' I was talking about, are the contests actually judged and awarded during the event, that result in nice trophies like the one pictured above, for "Best xx." Not that I'm planning to win, but I sure want to be in the right fight!

I know; I'm one of them! The effort is greatly appreciated, as I said.

An event I've been working to be ready for, for something like 16 months off and on. This time around, anyway; I've been a rotard for a couple decades, now.

If I lived closer, or didn't have to work a full week leading up to the event, I'd consider it.

As it is, I'll have put in a huge number of hours prepping for the event, so my car can look it's very best and be an asset for the show, even if it's not as tricked out as some.

We all just do our best and take pride from that, right?

I've been talking the event up to people for over a year. I've got shirts and pix and stuff that date back to SSV.

I'm one of your more loyal and vocal supporters.

I'm really not looking to get into a pissing contest, especially not with an event official. I was just trying to be clear as to which category I should try to compete in.

Peace?

Fris' Miata was 1 of 500+ vehicles at SSXI, should we make 100+ categories to appease everyone? Should we have a category for Best Trueno Rotary conversion? See the problem?

You can also enter in the Old School section if the SA was that far away from an 81 as you say they are... But the FB section will do!

I don't think anyone has money for trophies this year.
Maybe a Rotary keychain would suffice.

Hence the "Voted by the Forum" excitement I'm throwing around here. It means something, and recognizes hard work.

No harm done, I'm just a yearly volunteer, doing it because I kinda like Rotaries, just like yourself!

Your FB entry is fine, I would say it's in the right category.

Amen to that. One of the reason I love sevenstock is the fact everyone has something praise worthy about their builds. A lot of the internet BS goes away when you're there in person and it's just a bunch of folks who love cars.

There was a time at SS when, outside of the raffle, there wasn't anything to "win."

The only reason we started awards (@ SS3) was to recognize some hard work and love, but mostly SS has been about hangin and having some fun!

God Bless America!

I think there should still be awards. It makes it exciting. Even if its a popularity contest.

Ok so is it pointless to bring my 7? I don't want it broken into. I've never been to SS. Should I just bring my shitbox instead and enjoy the show?
