1st time to SS?:dunno:

DivinDriver 09-03-09 02:05 PM

This is kinda odd, but OK, I'm in for an SA spot... Hey, wait a minute: Where's the SA spot?!?!

(PS; won't this kind of bias the judging?)

iLikeEatPoo 09-03-09 05:06 PM

No I just thought he said we can pick parking lot spaces and reserve them? But I guess I was just being hopeful

Rotary13B1 09-03-09 08:14 PM

whooaaa whooaaa!

THIS IS GETTING OFF TOPIC. For those of you who are misunderstanding, the poll/vote I'm doing here is for the "COURTYARD" spaces. The area where the Main Stage is! We are trying to get some nice Rotaries for this area and giving folks the opportunity to show their pride and joy in this "special area" of the venue.

For all of you who have attended SS before, it'll always be "First Come, First Served!". So wake up early and get into the staging area early that Saturday morning to be able to park inside the main venue. Once it's full, it's FULL! :dunno:

I'll do this for the heck of it.

My most recent pic (from last March, >_<), and yes I know about one of the rims rotating the wrong way, I'm working on that. :P

hey where did you get your rear vent shade?

DivinDriver 09-04-09 09:43 AM

So, SA's apparently have no home; I was told to pick either FB or Old School... :icon_no2: Got Rodneyed.

I guess I'd be better off going with FB category, even though it's fighting outside my weight class (lot more stuff available to do with an FB). :(

I wouldn't want to piss the Old Schoolers off by stealing their space; some'a those guys look pretty mean! :twitch:

Battle Cat 09-04-09 12:34 PM

just make your own catagory for the SA :D

-=Lil Red=- 09-04-09 01:05 PM

What about my rotary miata? i got sent to the back parking lot all the way in the corner last year :(

Yeah, thereby ensuring I'm competing for a prize that doesn't exist... that works...

No love for the non-old-school, non-non-mazda rotaries either, I guess. Maybe we should just hang out together and get blasted. :dunno:

All kidding aside, maybe using the "1st gen, 2nd gen, 3rd gen, old school, other rotary" scheme would have been a little less confusing?

I still wonder, though, if this isn't going to impact on judging at the actual event; I mean, how can singling out a specific car in each category for special positioning NOT call additional attentions to them?

Just thinking out loud, really; it's actually very cool that attendees and active supporters get a chance to impact the 'sort order.' Please don't take my quizzical nature as criticism. :icon_tup:

Still debating entering...

kungfuroy 09-04-09 04:45 PM

We have a category for Non Mazda Rotaries. Fris's Miata would be in this category. If you're talking about a Psiton powered Rotary? That's another event that's not related to SevenStock. :dunno:

I didn't know FB, FC, FD would be so confusing to some people. PM me if you're not able to figure it out. :) I'll break it down by model years.

What judging are you referring to? The only judging we are doing, is by forum polling, to get a nice rides to represent hard work on these old toys.

Just trying to recognize people who put such hard work into their RX's. By having the forum vote, we're able to get a grassroots effort to push someones very hard work into the spotlight on a VERY special day for Rotary Owners.

No criticism taken, but you're welcome to help out on that Saturday as well! We're always short on volunteers. :icon_tup:

BTW, DID I MENTION THE EVENT IS ......

FREE!

85 S Model. I'm having work done on it now because there have been some imperfections that have come around, but once done it will be fully waxed and beautiful. Plus I will be sporting some rare custom tail lights that only have been produced 3 times.
