FYI - West End Alignment - Great shop

I just wanted to let you know about a good shop I used in Gardena to replace some suspension components, install some bushing and get my car re-aligned this week. I have heard his shop mentioned on here in the past, and just wanted to give my impressions.

Darin runs (owns?) the shop and explains everything to you that he thinks the car should have done once he has had a chance to look at it. Very honest and great he takes the time to explain stuff to you (if you don't already know it).

Very good prices also.

The shop is:

I think I saw your FD (the red one?) at West End when I had my car corner weighted on Thursday. I've been going to Darin for years and every time I have dealt with him the impression that has stuck with me was that the guy is a perfectionist who pays attention to even the smallest details, and will take the time to analyze your setup. My latest iteration of alignment specs makes the car finally feel like it is really dialed in, easily controlled at the limits.

Aristo,

Yeah that was my car there on Thursday, I picked it up Friday around lunch time. I had an appointment in late November for him and I to go through the car suspension wise and I loved his thoroughness, detail and explaination, then he had Tuesday this past week open to work on it (took a bit longer since one piece I didn't have and had to have next day air-ed from Malloy, but he was cool about it. Very mellow guy and I would agree with you a perfectionist. I would definitely recommend him and go back to him for any suspension related work.

Yes, I recall him saying that he had to press some bushings out, and then when he discovered that the replacements were incorrect, he had to temporarily press the old ones back in, put everything on the car back together and wait another day to redo that part of the job. He seemed so mellow about it that it appeared that the whole situation was not even really much of an inconvenience to him at all; the only reason he mentioned this was since I had brought up the subject and he said it was his fault for not recognizing the first bushings were the wrong ones. By the way, you have a pretty car man.

Aristo,

Yeah, that was mine..LOL I had provided him with the differential bushings in what I gave him and not the inner lower rear control arm bushings (miscommunication between us).

Thanks for the compliments on the car, it needs paint and the interior is so-so, but not bad from about 10 feet away ;-)
