Friday Autobacs Meet!!!
and to answer ur question... sunday would work out better in my opinion the shocks were good i assume?

K there's the Hyundai Sonata

There's the LGT, AKA Subaru Legacy GT
I still don't get how 1st7 could mix the two up...
Now the question is, which one would last longer under a senior citizens driving habits. What also should be taken into consideration that the senior citizen is not senile and can tell the difference between the brakes from the gas.
EDIT: happy, whiny school boy bitch.

My choice, Kragen with life time warranty. Last out of pocket alternator expense for the life of your ownership - http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductL...for=Alternator
Warranties are a scam.
EDIT: Oh yeah, is there a meet tonight?

Never had a problem getting mine replaced under warranty. And, aside from a a situation of rubber dust from a disintagrated belt (which I am sure was due to it being touched by a mechanic with bad mojo) causing a failure, I've run a Kragen alternator for years. So it does sound like you simply had bad luck.
BTW, what I do is print the online price out and take it to the store for price match. Best of both worlds. Best price, and you're in the computer for future warranty reference.

Yeah I didn't say you couldn't get a good reman from Kragen or another store. The other stores carry the same brands, btw, and Kragen employees were quite helpful when I had issues. I'm saying - or really both mechanics I went to and others said - there are a very large number of lousy ones so it's a gamble. In fact, I'd bet well over 50% of them won't die within a few thousand miles. Who knows, maybe it's over 80% or 90%.
If you gotta get a cheap alt from a major store just be sure to save the warranty. A lifetime warranty doesn't mean they never fail; it means they know they can afford to replace the shipping palattes upon shipping palattes of returns. Especially since they'll never run out of alts b/c you have to give them your broken core.
