I dunno how many you've gone through (a brand new one from Mazda is OVER $1,000), but if we're talking more than 2 or 3, then I don't think the AFM is the problem...

I kinda like being one of very few around here. half the people dont' know what it is, and you sure get alot of looks. Then you get the "how many cylinders is it?" "none, it's a rotary.." "so.. it has 4 cylinders?" hahaa

And by the way.. i'll take some beer, you ship to canada?

i was thinking the same thing, i see people say the AFMs are junk but i personally haven't seen a single one fail yet. maybe i just have been lucky in that sense but i doubt it, i think people just like closing their eyes and pointing the finger of blame.

The wiring harness is 1000 times more likely to fail than an AFM.

You may get a better response in the west forum too.

ok, heres the thing, sorry i havnt had the chance to check up on my post, but if the AFM is plugged in, then one of them doesnt let it start at all, the other ones let it start, rev to 3000 because of the accelerated warm up system, then turns off... not stalls, or bogs out, but simply turns off as if someone turned the key off... if i start it with the AFM unplugged, it revs to 3k, and idles, but idles roughly... once i let it warm up and all that jazz, i tried to plug the afm in, but withing 3 seconds it just turns off once again...

also, im getting a little bit of smoke coming from the exhaustmanifold/turbo, right under the LIM, i have no idea where the leak is coming from, im assuming its something leaking onto the manifold, and boiling off... im scared its the Pulstation Dampener, i heard its less likely to go bad on an s5, but wen we couldnt get fuel, my dad switched the lines, and i think he was forcing fuel against the pulsation dampener...
