According to my other friend that owns an AP2 they are faster than AP1's. They have more power at a lower RPM and more VTEC rev range. IIRC
DP means downpipe, i guess you don't speak turbo language lol
The guy is a prettty good driver he is my friend, he actually got hit by a drunk driver and now owns an 05 STi.

The s2k also has about 15 years of suspension technology. You could easily make an FD handle as well as an s2000 and still have it be cheaper.

They're not terribly fast in a straight line, and you do have to beat the **** out of them to get them going fast, but that's what the appeal of them is. That engine, especially in the AP1s, was just a workhorse. You just beat the **** out of it, keep it between 6k-9k and it just wears it like a champ. I've driven one, and while it certainly wasn't the fastest thing I've driven, I can imagine it would've been a hoot down a few roads I know.
BUT - if someone with an S2K started bagging on my car, saying that his was better...actually I probably wouldn't want to even bother arguing, so I'd pretend to agree with them.

Not directing at just you. Directing at all the FD owners that can't give proper respect to other cars. If you dumped $4k in suspension upgrades in the FD and the same amount in the s2k, which do you think would corner better? You can make the FD do a lot of things, but you can say the same about the S2K. Let's say that I take an FC and dump tons of cash into it. If I can get it to beat a modded S2K, does that mean that the FC is a faster car? If you're going to argue that the FD is better than brandX car because you can MAKE it better, I can make the same arguement about brandX car. Stop trying to convince yourself that your cars aren't old and dated by telling everyone that it's faster than this car or that. FD owners are a bunch of goons. I'm glad I never owned one of those stupid things.

Believe it or not, there are people that spent $40k+ back in 92-93 when they bought their FD. If you want to throw the $$$$ argument, $40k bought a lot more in 93 than $30k buys in 2006. Hell, I could buy a good used S2k for under 17k. When I was done getting my FD running reliably, I was already at $17k in the car. Not much of a difference in price there. Just admit that the FD isn't THAT great. Seriously, why can't FD owners just admit that? It's a great car for the money, but that's not the same thing as a GREAT car.

S2K is slow since when? What do you consider slow about it? Can you explain that statement at all without something like: "My FD is faster than my friend's s2000"? Get over it. The S2000 is not a slow car. The NA FC is slow. Stupid Donna.
