Hey I know a few of the FD owners here in Sacramento, but the ones I do know aren't running or don't have the proper motor installed. I'm an amateur Videographer and am looking to find some FD owners interested in showcasing their car on video. I've started making quick independent films on youtube and vimeo (no monies involved) and thought this would be a good way to represent the car culture to everyone else who has a negative connotation of us. I'll be posting this in the General Forums, but wanted to place this here first. Here's a sample of something I just completed.

Was going to say the same, there is some fc's. Smogsux is building his somewhere using some holset and other stuff, and one more is being built with a t04e, but those are being "built" and arent running aswell. Youll probably have a better time going to the track amd finding some fast cars there.

 

That sucks. There's a white one I see drive around Sunrise by some lady, then a blue one around the south area, but I don't see them long enough to meet them.

What do you mean by "proper" motor?

 

it has to be proper...thats all...

 

There are at least 3 up here in Chico, though mine is the only one with a "swaproper" motor in it!

 

Seems hard to find a running FD with the original motor in it, so I'll open it up to FC and FD owners that are interested in being filmed for the next act. I'd prefer something that looks close to stock, but the primariy focus is clean.

haha you have some compitition, let me put the rims on it and get the motor going asap, maybe in two or three weeks?

 

For those interested can you link me to current pictures of your car? Most of the next sequence will be filmed at night so I'd like to prep myself as far as lighting and color correcting.

 

yo Charlie, i got a friend that's a video editor for NBC (so bad-*** in fact he won an Emmy for editing on Heroes). told me he wants to do a vid of rotaries. no deets as of yet but so-cal'ers i'll keep ya'll posted. told him to come out to WSIR for 626Drift just to check it out.

 

That was actually some of the best footage I've seen...

There's plenty of us FD and FC guys with nice motors... just no time.

werd, ALL of them. celica All-Trac, Evo IV. hit up RX7_Rage and FDSeoul for FD's. mine's not pretty enough for the vid yet

 

do a video on battlecat's project FD. needs coverage for being the longest FD project in the world! plus, for something that everyone's been waiting forever for, i feel it deserves a nice video for being one of rx7club's long anticipated projects announced here on the forum. and can't forget that once it's done, "everybody who'll see it implode." quoted from jaime himself.

haven't changed my car in ages, perhaps you saw a blur of red one day and didn't get to see what a touched up stockish FC looks like.
