FD Expert needed in San Diego area!!!

This is really hard to ask and there is no reward for doing this as favor. I have no other choice. Right now im looking to buy a US-spec 3rd gen in San Diego. The seller has informed me the following through email:

OK, LET ME BE CLEAR BECAUSE I DON'T BELIEVE THERE WAS ENOUGH SPACE IN ADD FOR ME TO PUT THE INFORMATION.

(1) SALVAGE TITLE

(2) IT TAKES TIME TO START THE CAR (DOESN'T START RIGHT AWAY)

(2) WHEN STARTS

(3) U NEED TO FIX OR REBUILT THE MOTOR NOW OR SOON TO MAKE IT RUNABLE!!

(4) THERE A NITICEABLE BODYWORK IN MIDDLE OF DRIVER DOOR!!

(5) THE AIRE FILTER BOX IS MISSING, BUT IT HAS INTAKE COVERS

(6) THERE IS A SMELL INSIDE THE SEATS THAT MAY NEED A NICE CLEANING

(7) THE HOOD OPENS WITH PULLING A WIRE INFRONT OF THE SPOILER!!

(8) HOOD DOESN'T OPEN FROM INSIDE

(9) WHEN THE CAR STARTS IT RUNS VERY ROUGH AND SMOGS WHEN COLD

(10) AS I SAID IN THE ADD THIS IS A PROJECT CAR. U NEED TO FIX THE

PROBLEM IN MOTOR TO MAKE IT RUN GOOD
(11) THERE IS A LITTLE GRIND IN 5TH GEAR THATS VERY COMMON IN RX7"S

I AM TELLING U ALL THESE BECAUSE I WANNA BE HONEST WITH U. BECAUSE U NOT HERE TO LOOK AT. WE SELL THE CAR AS IS, AND WE DO NOT TAKE IT BACK ONCE SHIPPED. SO, ITS UR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING BEFORE U BUY. I DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING ASBOUT THE CAR. I AM TELLING U EVERYTHING I KNOW. THE CAR MAY GET THERE AND FOR SOME REASON IT MAY NOT START OR SOME. WE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT !!!!!SO LET ME KNOW WHERE TO TAKE IT FOR INSPECTION AND WHAT SHOULD I TELL THEM???

I am overseas in German at the moment, all i have is the selllers word, but he doesnt seem to be familar with 3rd gen. all of the problems he listed seem to be minor except for the driver door and engine, but those can be repair with time. I just want to be sure if it would pass the military inspection at my base and be able to get it registered. I know most of the mechanics who work at the inspection station since i work with them before. So it shouldnt be hard to make it pass.
They only check if the brakes work, Tire wear, lights, engine and exhaust leaks, and suspension. No emission are tested. Basiclly as long as it will go and stop without dieing. So if anyone would be willing to scout this out for me I might just send over some German Wine, Or whatever.. Sorry but i am just asking this for a favor. I will try my best to send gifts as a "thank you"

That's too much money for that POS....why don't you try to pick up one in reasonable condition?

Its going to be a project car. im going to replace most of the stuff anyway. Why pay more and pay again to replace. I already have a j-spec 3rd gen that is in stock condition. im looking to make this into a track car. Nurburgring is only 1 hr 20 minutes drive away. I went last year with my Stock FD and it suck watching the 911 and m3 csl go by you in the long straights.

To be honest I think you can find a cheaper FD with a non running engine and not so nice paint. I've never seen this FD so I don't know its condition.. but the white smoke is bad. For a r1 with a bad engine and a salvage title. I'd say 4k-5k max. I think you are on the right track though, a salvage title will make a good track car. However the price is a bit high imo.

And if you want to not get passed up on the straights by the bmw's you'll need a serious engine. And at least 375hp at the wheels. Thats a port, new ecu, and possibly a single turbo or non seq conversion. I'd think single though.

no way bro. That much cash for a salvage salvage tittle? How did it become a salvage vehicle?

A decently running FD with a clean tittle can be had in San diego for 14-17k. A blown one can be had for 8-9k with a non-salvage tittle.

The only way he is going to get 8k for that is if he had it running strong. Reason being is that no one ever touches salvage tittled cars. Unless they know the story of why it became salvaged.

Yeah i think i should really ditch this guys Deal. All i ask was if it will run, drive, stop... ect ect. doesnt even have to be close to ment condition. just need it to pass the militarys lame inspection, which doesnt consists of much. But he is kinda dancing around the subject with it "2) IT TAKES TIME TO START THE CAR (DOESN'T START RIGHT AWAY)
" and " U NEED TO FIX OR REBUILT THE MOTOR NOW OR SOON TO MAKE IT RUNABLE!!" He seem abit shaddy. Thats why im asking for help on this forum lol. o well ill ask if he can take it to an inspection shop. Thanks for keeping from bitting the bait.
