well its an old thread but if the poster hasn't gotten around to it i have done the conversion and can do it for in the area of $2k in labor if you provide the parts, if you need me to locate the parts it can range upwards of $4-5k for everything including labor.

what's needed is(and i may be forgetting a few small things since it's been a while):

manual transmission
clutch and flywheel
pilot bearing/throwout bearing
transmission brace
exhaust shields
manual trans. driveshaft
torque arm
rear differential assy.
engine main wiring harness
ECU
speedo cluster
shifter trim
lubricants

edit: nm, i see he hasn't been around for the past year but the offer is up for anyone else who may think about the conversion.

ask live2drive15, he sais we broke his middle finger when the fat *** auto tranny fell on his finger.

yep, it sure is a pita, most of the crap work is dealing with the engine harness and the 1 million vacuum lines..

Yea i sure wish I had a Haltech to wire up when I did it. There's all kinds of small annoyances, like my oil psi and temp gauge don't work and the cruise control doesn't work.

It wasn't my middle finger it was my THUMB! ouch. But anyways, the PITA really is converting the ECU harness' and the dash harness. The swap itself is just a huge PITA. If I did it again I would get the complete Ring harness that goes around the front of the car so I wouldn't have had to convert any harness. Just plug em right in.

don't forget the pedals, clutch lines, and just get a PFC for it. I had mine done at Gotham Racing, and got all or most of my parts from Fritz on the forum.

Yea, it was good timing too. Let the UTI rep know I was serious about working on cars. HAHA...........god the wiring was shitty tho.

I got all my parts for about 1600, that's including a 9.5lb Flywheel from SR Motorsports. By time the swap was done it costed about 2000. After having to take it to a tranny shop to figure out a strange noise which turned out to be the incorrect mounting bolts for the flywheel. Which SR gladly sent me the proper ones, they have GREAT customer service BTW.
