FC LS1 Swap

Are there any local shops in CA that do these swaps all the time? My friend is looking to pick up a FC to drive and wants to do a LS1 swap for it. Just trying to figure out cost and who can do a good job.

Your signature sums the subject of which local shops are in Ca that do LS1 swaps, or you can't read?

Swapping an LS1 into an FD or an FC will cost nearly the same. The FD costs about $1K more in parts (mounting equip).

In the end when you sell the car.... the FC will lose money... and the FD will make some money if you budget correctly.

Obviously the biggest cost difference is the initial purchase of the car itself.

If you have 1/2 brain you can do an LS1/FC swap. The hardest part is the wiring IMO and having a place to work on it with some very basic hand tools.

I'm interested in about how much this kind of swap will cost also. I want to know before I call up the shop in oakland cause I don't want to go into this without knowing how much money I'm looking into spending.

7k if you do it yourself. $4000-5000 for the engine and transmission (LS1 or Ls2), rewire harness $150, mounting kit $450-600 (depends on kit you chose), tach recalibration $60, Cable x (for speedo) $150. What ever the misc. you need.
Thanks Robert

Oh I can read.

Just some can't see the impropriety of such a venture to create an Oxymoronmobile.
