FC electrical gremlin question from Tyler, to you-- PS I love you
So my 87 turbo 2 had been cranking slowly for a few days, It would start cranking slow, then after a few rotations work its way up to a faster speed and kick over. Then it just lost power. I took the battery out to get it tested, battery was above average. I put the battery back in and ended up blowing my main fuse. I replaced that, pulled out the alternator to check it for shorts, and it tested perfectly. I cleaned off all of the ground straps for the battery and reconnected, now when I put the key in and turn it on, I can hear the electric fan in the engine bay turn on, but when I turn the key to start the car, power shuts out.
I looked in the cabin fuse box, and these fuses are blown:
7.5a ROOM
7.5a METER
20a AUDIO
I replaced them and immediately they blew again.
WTF is going on here?!? I have no multimeter, the car is stuck at my apartment with no tools Sad so I can't go checking leads..

WOW no one? I am going to go at it with a multimeter and the help of a Nissan master mechanic today, I'll post up what I find so people in the future can search for this..
you have a short. Disconnect power and go buy a cheap meter, or sell the car. Without a mm your wasting your time. After you get the meter, check between the positive and the body for continuity. If you get it, you found your short. just go 1 wire at a time and it shouldnt be too much of a PITA.
