engine rebuild woos

engine rebuild woos

so i went to menlo mazda they quoted me 2700 for brand new rotor. assembled at order. but when i call around everyone says 4000 3500 for a rebuild. anybody know where i can get a rebuild for like 2000. heelp

You could probably knock the price down by saying you want to reuse as many old parts as possible. Anything that is within spec. Other than that I dunno why it is so expensive lol.

Because the shops quoting you that much for the rebuild are going to remove the engine, rebuild it, then install it back in for you and make sure the car is running beautifully when you come to pick it up. Menlo Mazda is just going to ship an engine out to you.

that makes sence . wha about jdm motor 1300 from tiger. ive seen this go both ways.

Don't be a wuss. Pull your motor. Take it to Lucky7 or Karack or something. It will cost 2k or less most likely and it'll be warrantied.

Doesn't Mazda or some company offer core exchange programs for rebuilt motors? You might want to look into that.
