It's not market research. And why is posting a poll in a forum of people that usually work on their own stuff a bad tactic to get an idea of how many actually do? You don't have to participate in it.
^Or you could ask the forum owners if you can do this type of research on their site, you do know it costs people to run a site this size and it takes up space to post crap like this on their forum. Maybe you should do a poll being more considerate.
Hey asswipe, here we go:
"Hey guys, I'm opening/just opened/have been running an automotive shop and I was wondering if I could get some opinions on your habits when it comes to your cars."
Don't turn the situation around as if I am at fault. The reason why this thread is a piece of **** is because you approached the situation in the most deceitful way possible.
I don't care if you were not using this as dishonest market research, it is how you came across that matters. The mods have closed more legitimate threads than this, I have no idea why after reporting this it's still not gone.

poor choice of questions too.
notice how everyone who has answered your poll all would rather work on their own cars and own their own tools....

P.S. you could have avoided this by introducing your self

I appreciate all the responses to the poll, even the negative feedback I'm getting from people.

on this forum. chances are ALL owners work on their own cars and have their own tools, reason being is that no one really knows what they are doing outside of the forum. only time anyone really wont do the work them self if its a rebuild and in that case we all have our limited but preferred shops to work on our cars.
