Ok i was with my friend riding in his 7 and noticed his car has alot more power then mine he has a 91 base n/a. I have a 88 gtu n/a mine runs but doesnt feel like it has power i hit the gas all the way down but it doesnt feel like his. So in a short way my car has no power when i hit the gas it runs and everything so just wanted some feedback incase anyone else has had this problem. Any help would be great thanks for your time

 

do you have a full straight through exhaust? try getting a compression test.

 

i just have a stock exhaust, ill try getting a compression test and put the numbers up

You might want to check if your 5th and 6th ports are opening up as well.

Indeed check for 5th and 6th ports opening up, this allows power at higher RPMS. I always just kept mine open at all times...lost low end but had great power in higher RPMS which mattered most since my hard driving never had me below 4 grand.

Invest in a nice header and exhaust setup and aftermarket air filter. Your car will wake up for sure.

 

Install a turbo.
