Just wondering if someone could help me start my car. I put my motor back together ad tried to start it but it doesn't start.

Did you turn the key? Usually that makes cars start after dropping in a good motor.

well whats the car doing?? is it not cranking or is it just not kicking over??

 

It cranks i smell and hear fuel running but it does't start. I thik it has somethig to do with the igition but don't know what.

 

is it carb or injected??

Wow, you don't know what pop starting is. Ok.

 

It's not always called the same thing... "push starting" is also common. Push the car to speed, pop the clutch to start.

I took the SA up MT Baldy one spring some years ago, and when we were ready to leave, she wouldn't fire off.

Oh ok push starting i understand.
But whats the difference between push starting it and just turing the key for the starter.

 

battery might be completely dead so its not cranking the starter but if its not doing anything at all and it wont start after you "push start" it...( gotta let the battery charge for atleast 30 minutes so leave the car running or drive it around for a little) than chances are your gonna need a new starter... or your just joels twin lol
