Custom v mount socal shop recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a shop that can do a super clean v mount build for me? I got.a quote from DNA Garage, but I wanted to see if anyone can post pics from other shops of work that was done.

Theres a fine line in cost between paying for a custom kit vs. getting the complete Greddy vmount kit.

Tell me about it.. I was thinking about doing the v mount myself with.a Garrett ic and koyo rad, but I don't have a welder or a method of cutting and bending metal. But I decided to get a quote and I was surprised that the price was about the same compared to a greddy kit. So I figured I'd have a shop do it and customize what I want if I'm paying roughly the same cost..plus I didn't like the small intercooler on the greddy kit

Figure shop rates are around $80/hr. Hour or two for planning, measuring, etc; then another couple of hours for cutting pipe, welding, testing for leaks, etc. Then add parts on top of that, not just the radiator and intercooler, but hoses, aluminum tubing, fitting etc and you're up to a v-mount setup from Greddy.

I have a guy who's pretty good in Ontario, but he's pretty busy right now. PM me if you want a phone number.

I'm guessing this is for an FD3S? Awhile back I did a V-mount kit on an FC3S that came from CX racing. It was a clean install for the most part. I have pictures of it, all bolt on too. not much modding involved. I have installed a Greddy kit on an FD too, it was a nice install but for the money you pay, it should be. If it were up to me I would go with the custom deal since its around the same price as the Greddy kit. Only thing you have to worry about is the labor per hour. The Greddy kit will be a fast install, therefore less hours. The custom install will take way more hours. Its a compromise, really. I would recommend getting quotes from different shops and sleep on it to make the best choice for yourself.
