How much work for a new engine mount?

The previous owner gave me a list with some problems he never got around to fixing. One of them is the left engine mount -- Should I take care of it right away? I don't notice any shakiness (but have never driven an rx7 without a broken engine mount so I can't compare). My car is at the shop right now getting the cooling system and vacuum system completely re-done, would this be a good time to get a new mount as well?

I think mine needs replacing too. When I had my down pipe fitted the installer said my engine mounts were 'abit soft'. I've never actually checked them myself but how do you know if its on its way out?
