I went to chico a few times.. If you ever need a brake job or a quick alignment done Just go to Yun's Chicken Garden and shity.. i mean city rebuild shop. He fixed a broken calliper and it wasnt the full calliper. I think he pulled raw meterials from earth and synthised some rotary magic

Bob's off of the Explanade by Sin of Cortez does good work. Also, the guys at Gary's Automotive (next door) do great work, lead mechanic is a rotorhead!

Or take it to Oroville where you can get an alignment in trade for Meth.

I dunno about Bob's Tire Center

Yeah I've heard that before about Gary's. I asked them about having something done on my 2nd FC but their rotary guy wasn't there that day. So instead I took it Mazda Specialists and I will never let them touch one of my cars again... but that's another story.

As for Bobs, I'm not sure about them either. Let me explain... When I bought my first FC the alignment was totally whacked. The right front tire destroyed itself just driving the car to Chico from Sacramento. I wasn't even living in Chico at the time but I had to stay the night there because I didn't think the car would make it home.

So the next day I took it to Bob's because they were literally just down the street from where my friend lived. I wasn't happy with their tire selection so I had them deliver some better tires from some other source. I asked for the best performance tires they could find, and that's what I got... gumballs that melted off in 3 months! but that was my fault lol...

As for my alignment, they said it was fixed and I drove the car for a little while longer. Then I got t-boned in it and its been my parts car ever since. Now that I'm building my 4th FC, I pulled a couple things off it recently including the steering rack. I found something very interesting when I removed it...

You know the 2 big-*** bolts that attach the strut to the hub? Well on that car, one of those bolts was missing. (which explains the bad alignment) But someone put another bolt in its place that was nowhere near the correct size or grade! In fact, it was already bent from stress when I removed it!

So, I'm not saying Bobs put that bolt in. I have no way of knowing who did, but I do know that Bob's should have noticed it when they did my alignment. I mean, there is no excuse for that... there's a reason those bolts are so beefy they are load-bearing! It's not as if I wouldn't have happily paid another $20 for the right bolt and the 5 minutes of labor.

So that's my story about Bobs and why they failed. I can show you guys the bolt if you want lol... I kept it as a souvenir to remind myself why I only do my own work. Good thing I didn't track that FC.

It's possible but this isn't an automotive-grade bolt? It looks more like the kind someone would buy at a hardware store.
