certificate of title

Hi all,

Do certificate of title ( the new one) did not have the "RX7" in the certificate? Because there are only the year and the make. Is this normal or is there a mistake?

That's normal. The title won't say RX-7 or what model the title is for.

Here's what your CA title should look like: http://www.crankshaftcoalition.com/w...california.jpg

So if they knew from the VIN, the VIN is the most important and if in the certificate, the VIN is correct with the history and description of the car, it is all normal and okay? Just for confirmation.. Thanks

thanks... I had another question, are there anyway for the owner to look at the internet about the registration vehicle? For example, like I type in the VIN into the carfax and it will appear like the history and the ownership but the car are already pass 15 years and there are no more records. I just wanted to make sure that the FD had already been registered in my name. thanks.. Please please help me.........

Vehicle registration details aren't available on-line for privacy reasons.

Contacting the DMV by phone is probably your best bet.

Hi,

Another quick question. Are the Vin the most important part of the certificate? thanks. I am really worried because this is my sister's first experience and just wanted to do it right. Thanks

Yes, the VIN is what the DMV will verify when you register it

as long as the vehicle has been titled in the past 7 years the DMV will have records for it

If the vehicle has not been titled in the last 7 years you will have to bring the car in to be inspected, you will also need a brake and lamp inpection done

you can call the DMV and give them the VIN, they will give you some information regarding it like Year, Make, Model, if its been salvaged, if the title is up to date... they will even tell you the persons name it is currently registered to

I have thought of that but the thing is that the DMV always busy and I always waiting for the operator but they never picked it up. I can't wait for a long time because I called the DMV from out of state. So anybody can call the DMV and knew about the car? Do we need to have specific information?? Thanks
