Cars and Coffee This Sat. March 24..Anyone Down?

I went to a Cars and Coffee meet a few Saturdays ago and was disappointing to see ONLY 1 rx7 (FD btw).

So..... I was wondering if we could get a group of 7s for this Saturday and maybe cruise down to Irvine and participate. If you can't meet up to drive out there all together you can just meet us there, but imagine how sweet it would be if we all roll up together while everyone stares.

Here is the link to their website http://irvine.carsandcoffee.info/

Here is what I propose:

1. Everyone meet up with your local rx7 guys at a familiar spot

2. Start driving toward Irvine and when you exit we can all meet up at one of the parking lots near the event so that we make sure we drive in together. I think if we all meet at a parking lot around 5:15ish am we can get a nice spot at the event.

3. We roll out from that parking lot around 5:45am toward the event (located a minute away from where we will be)

4. There are photographers standing by and taking pictures of cars rolling by so if you have time just give your 7 a nice bath.

5. We enjoy looking at each other's car and other cars while others enjoy looking at ours.

How many people would be down to do this? I think we at least need 10 to 15 cars but I would love to have more. Imagine the impact we will make.

BTW the event is right next to the Mazda Headquarters so we have to represent with big numbers!!

Sounds great, we can meet at Irvine Spectrum parking lot. When you get off the 5 freeway instead of taking a right, take a left that will take you in to Irvine Spectrum. Turn right after the parking structure and park in front of Barnes and Noble.

Someone please start a list...

Getting there at 5:15am is rough! I usually leave my place at that time. I'll see about getting out there that early as I usually get to bed pretty late on Friday nights/sat mornings.

The Meet starts around 6:30 but I say be there around 5:15ish so we can get a good spot at the show. If anyone wants to come closer to 6 or 6:30 we can hold a parking space for you at the meet.

I just thought it would be more dramatic and exciting if we all rolled up to the show together.

Hozz.. I will bring the shift **** with me

Just put a box or something in the parking spaces on either side of you for Juan and I. They're pretty good about letting you do that sort of thing. Heck, I've seen whole sections segregated for an expected car club gathering.

Juan is almost a regular at Cars.

I will do that. I have a feeling I am going to be the only one at 5:15 at the parking lot hahaha

You will be as far as this group is concerned.

Sidebar, 20% chance of rain on Saturday. But a little rain rarely affects Cars substantially.

I usually get there around 5:45am or 6:00 am if I'm running late. With good weather, the parking lot is mostly full at 6:00am. I'll keep an eye on the weather and on this thread to see if my warm bed is a better place to be at that time

I washed my car and made it look pretty to only have my drivers side headlight cover fly off on the freeway just now! I'm still down to go if anyone else wants to meet there. PM me for my number if you guys want to. Just don't call and breathe heavy on the other end for 5 minutes straight.

If anyone has a good condition, no cracks on the tabs, headlight cover, let me know

Alright... I'll go next weekend too. My buddies didnt want to go, and I dont feel like being a lone lonely loner

EDIT: I may go anyway but in my daily driver with my wife and kid. If any of you go, I'll either be in a white BMW touring (wagon for us normal folk) or my black BMW, both E34's. I'll be on the lookout for RX-7's.

We did an impromptu drive from Torrance down there back in February with a GTO group. Ended up having 5 fds in the group. I thin kits hit or miss with RX7s there, aside from Juan and Hozzman its hard get people out of bed!
