California Speedway - Auto Club NHRA Street Legal's - July 12, 2008
Sorry to here that Chris. But since you back out of the challenge I should be allowed to run race gas and make a pass at night. Im happy with the time I ran but I know the car can run a faster time. I should be able to run 15psi not 12psi. I was limited to boost because of heat and octane. So I will post a video and time slips when I rerun my time again. So I consider this a WIN by default!!!!!!
Thanks Robert

As I stated before, I have no problem with you running at night. Race gas...hmmmm...we will need to negotiate over that one...lol
Next time its on my terms. Yes this is a win by default because he backed out of the race.

Win by default
Let me throw in my 2 cents on this.
That is essentially what this kind of situation is in any kind of athletic event, which is what this essentially is. Analogy, Tennis player sprains their ankle and can't play, his opponent moves on in the draw via win by default.
However, extenuating circumstances here. Chris certainly has to focus on keeping a roof over his head and food on the table. At the same time, a deal is a deal and Robert has already spend money to hold up his side on the gamble/assumption he would recapture those expenses via winning the bet.
So, perhaps putting Chris's side of the effort on hold for some period of time, so he can regain employment so that he can then finance his effort while still meeting his basic financial obligations? Say, maybe, 60 days for Chris to pull all this together before claim of $ by default might be the play here?

Im sure you have all seen Pinks, correct? How many times have you seen Rich say, "his car broke, do you want to allow him time to fix it or take the win?" And always, the competitors say, "i dont want to win that way, let him fix it."
Robert - I dont think you really want to win this way, do you? As far as terms are concerned, show me where I said a timeline was part of the agreement? I would have given you as much time as you needed to prep your car, which is why I asked you early on how much time you did need. But hey, you want to run race gas, I will run a nitrous plate and be done with it. Surely your 3psi diffirence is not going to add up to a 100 shot of Nitrous.
Hozzman - I appreciate all of your colorful analogies but this isnt poker, tennis or any other sanctioned/standardized sporting event. This is a challenge between two people, not three. I realize you feel an obligation to 'have Roberts back' but not once have I addressed you or attacked you during any part of this thread. I would appreciate you doing the same for me.

On pinks they also say " If you are broke and can't get it running you lose the race. So make a pass ". A win is a win in my books.
Thanks Robert

I say run what you have and hope you have enough. That is what it should have been in the beginning. Its more like 8psi is where the difference will be.

Ok. Doesn't saying you would make your run on July 23rd create a timeline?
All I was suggesting was that, considering your recent financial situation, additional time would be fair to give so you could get back on your feet and see this through.
Try and do a guy a favor, and get accused of being an attacker. Sheesh........

20 minutes replying to this tread to come up with this word. You must love the dictionary.
Anyways, Im done with your antics. I don't have time for your childish games. I spent time and money on your antics. You either race tomorrow or I win and we are done. Time to man up Chris!!!!

The word moot is fairly common in english usage but Im not sure about antices...lol Oh man, sometimes all you can do is just laugh.
if you want to back out and call it a win, I cant stop you. Id much rather us both run and get it over with but as I mentioned earlier, I lost my job. Consider yourself lucky this hasnt happened to you. As much as we are not friends any longer, I would never wish this on your family.

Quoted from LS1FC:
I Challenge you FC3S91!!!

This might not be the place for this thread but it seemed like the most appropriate.
Robert (FC3S91) you have talked **** long enough. Now its time for you to put your money where your mouth is and step up.
Some background:
FC3S91 challenged me in another thread before my LS1 conversion was finished, "Also when you finish your v8, look me up. I'll show you what a rotary does to a v8"
Guess what Robert, its finished and I accept your challenge.
Rules:
1. Each driver is allowed 3 passes and they must all take place in the same day. You must video your car going through the quarter mile with the time results shown. You must also scan a copy of your time slip and paste it in this thread.
2. No nitrous, no meth injection, no fuel additives or race gas of any kind. This is all to be done on pump gas.
3. No slicks, dot approved drag radials are fine.
4. Loser pays the winner 100 bucks via paypal.
So there it is....the challenge has been laid down.
Do you accept Robert?
Just incase you forget.

I don't wish it on anyone either. I have a new house and don't have time to be playing Chris moores baby games. I don't back out of thing, you are the one that has always backed out at the last minute. Your car runs right? Run it!!! It only cost $20 to run. You have that right? I think you are the one backing out. Im just tierd of your antics. I have better things to do with my new house and family. Again, either run it or accept a lose. Remember this was your challenge.

Curious
Your comment "I was referring to previous ones in which you've made off-color remarks."
Aside from, perhaps, my bias indicated in my signature or perhaps my observation of you're "done" comment just before you disappeared from this thread 10 days ago, please point out my off-color remarks and I'll be glad to apologize.

I don't think it's right for Chris just to walk away from the challenge ( and we all know he's walking away, that excuse is too weak) without paying after Robert not only he wasted time......money.....tires.......wear and tear on it's motor just to answer his challenge, specially since Chris called Robert out and the dates were set! I don't think there should of been an argument period, On the 24th Chris should just paypal and that's it , nobody drag Chris into this but himself, now he should just man up and pay up , if he doesn't like it then he should of check his bank account before he started this .
I mean.... if he lost his job this is more of a reason to do this run , because is $100 that will come in handy, regarding the diff..... well nobody is telling him to leave at 7K,( but wasn't that the whole idea of a V-8 swap, so you don't have to worry about the thing breaking down on you) he can leave the hole nice and easy and let the big V-8 do it's job

I know what you're trying to do Hozzman, Ive been doing the same for Robert since highschool. I used to stand-up for him when friends of ours would all talk poorly of him (I got lots of grief for this). Im willing to bet Robert has been calling/contacing you the minute I post something in this thread. He used to ask me to write responses like this to people on his behalf and then pretend it was himself writing it. You know this is true Robert so dont even try to lie about it.
I know him all to well and he definately hasn't changed. We have alot of history including being each others 'best man' at our weddings. Its truly unfortunate that its come down to this but he has only himself to blame. I ended the friendship about 5 months ago after he once again disrespected me. Ive had to learn an important lesson, 'you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink'.
If you are a fair and honest gentelman, go back and look at a this thread https://www.rx7club.com/other-engine-conversions-non-v-8-118/13b-t-vs-ls1-vs-sr20-swap-728918/ You will see that Robert is the one who started throwing jabs first. He was also the one who challenged me to race him. I probably should have titled this thread, "I accept your challenge" like Robert has done with his sig.
This thread exists because Robert started talking **** (as usual) and challenged me to race when my car wasn't even finished with the swap. Go ahead Hozzman, read the thread, you will see Im telling the truth.
