Why does it matter if you live in Michigan? All stock s5 GTU's were the same.

they are absolute ****** about the visual.

the actual sniffer numbers arent any worse, but the visual is where theyll **** you

you can get away w/ some stuff, but no block off plates.
I think there are a few high flow cali legal cats. I am not positive but think that it has to be the same style cat, which means keeping the air-pipe inlet.

K&N makes a CARB approved intake, which is a rip off from any online rotary store, but can be had at a somewhat affordable price from EBAY.

Also depends on the county/city, and who you run into and how much they feel like an *******.

BTW can anyone help me with a exempt sticker for my K&N filter?

There is no difference. The computer will recognize your car is from CA and will use the CA test. If the car came with EGR, you will have to retain it as they will look for it. You can not convert to federal (remove or alter emissions), just as their is no conversion required when bringing a non-CA in to CA. People mix that up with non us to us federal conversion requirements.

no difference from here to there, S5 had no EGR and not even sure why that was regurgitated anyways.

if there even was a difference your car would have more smog equipment being a california car than one from your state anyways so don't worry about it being inadequate since this is the hippy smog state and most other states adopt their smog laws from us.
