Cali Emmisions

Im from the NW part of the US. Im taking a trip to cali to visit family fo a week. Im thinking about taking the fd. I can say it will not pass emmisions at all. But my question is are cops really dicks about it. What im thinking is that I have Washington plates so they would not bug me that much, but i thought i should ask first before i get my car impounded. Thanks.

You'll be fine. You're only in town for a little while and you have out of state plates. As long as you obey all the traffic laws, you'll be good. If you have a loud exhaust, keep it quiet under bridges and in tunnels. Don't show off your ride and try to impress the guy next to you at a light. If someone rev's on you, don't do it, just let it go.

If your car stands out, stay in the middle lanes on the freeway and make sure the cars on the left are going faster than you. As long as you're just cruising, there'd be no reason to pull you over.
