Buying a Truck...any deals????
I need a daily driver, BAD! Im lookin at some deals here and there and was hoping anyone could tell me what spots to hit up for a GOOD DEAL!!
Im in the LA area and the San fernando Valley so anywhere around there would be best. Toyota Tacoma PreRunner or a Dodge 1500 v6 or better. Again, this would be for hauling and as a daily. Gas cost's here I come
Ive found this so far:
http://www.carmax.com/enUS/view-car/...2-0a2addfb9d3c
Essentially I want a truck below $20k with under 20k miles....

my buddy has a 84ish Toyota Pick-Up like this... (without fog lights)
- has the factory height adjustment thingy
- doesn't have a cat (got jacked) but passes smog w/ flying colors
- has under 100K miles
- L-4 carb'd
- manual transmission
- OEM mud flaps
- and that stupid bar in the truck bed
$3000 obo i believe.
but then again, it most likely isn't heavy duty enough to tow stuff like crazy.
i'd buy it for a DD and offroading too tho.

Not bad. I'll pass on teh ford classic. That toyota is a 4cyl...no bueno for hauling. Thanks for the info brotha....keep em comin if you find any. Thx.
Im leaning more towards the truck I posted earlier tho. For $18k it's a pretty good deal and affordable. Come with the hitch I need too.
Ive also been lurking the Tacoma Forums for a lil more insight. Apparently getting a manual has a little more resale value than automatic.

You can have a private army stashed in that.
or you can buy a real tow truck

What about the V8 Tundra?
Dodge Ram:
There's another one, but I forget.
I don't know how the 4 door Tacoma feels, but the 2 door ones are uncomfortable, my dad has one of those. Talk about lack of space.

For real towing you need a real tow truck.

Well, tonite I skipped on my Carmax appt and headed to a local Toyota dealership. My coworker has a home girl who works there so she's settin it up. Once I get a more sufficient down pymt, Im aiming for a V8 4runner 2004 model. It's certified and really smooth to drive. Quiet and even comes with the tow hitch I need. Who knows...maybe while Im stackin, I might come across an even better deal. God Speed.

That HEMI looks dope man, this would be perfect for me as well. This looks like the 2500 model. I think
