Question body shop in the bay area??

can anyone recomend a good paint shop in the bay area? basically a shop that does quality work (cause most of them dont). im in oakland but i can tow the car around the bay. so far all i have had are bad experiences with body shops, or absolutely outrageously high prices, sometime even both. anyway, every body shop i have been to so far has managed to screw up pretty well or break a part of my car (plus overspray a bunch of performance parts and leave the paint with bad orange peel. so..... any shops that you guys have really liked? thanks, heath

The Works in Santa Clara does excellent work. They are expensive, but only because of the time they put in, not the hourly rate. Typically, they'll have several high-end exotics in there.....the last time I was in there, a Ferrari 360 was getting $25k worth of body work.

They did a great job on my FD.

hey, did you get a full repaint done or pannels? if so what did it run? i need to have the engine compartment sprayed first (engine fire) before i get my motor in. my only debate now is wether to do it in steps, or have the bay, and body done at the same time. the only factor is cost....

I have heard good things about White Oaks Autobody in San Jose. You'll often see exotic cars getting body work done there. They aren't cheap, but good work never is.

I had some minor accident damage done, but they went out of their way to truly fix it right. And they turned the car around pretty quickly too. Chris is a great guy.
