I'm just going to go to court before my date & plead my case. Or take pics of my car, make a map of where I was going, where they saw me & then parked & waited etc etc etc and mail that to the judge. We'll see what happens.

Don't worry. I'm sure we'll be getting into so much **** Jaime when both of our FD's are finished. Its going to be like a State Ref Ticket every other week.

come on man a written response??? that's trying to fight off a ticket 101... I was expecting more from a criminology major. But hey the cop may be lazy or something may be happening in his life that will keep him from writting his side. you never know.

I was expecting something more elaborate. Like requesting the police report. One you will actually see what the cops did in order to determine your infraction, and two they may not give you one. Of course the plan is for them not to give you one, as when you go to court you can make a request to the judge of dismissing the charges as the state failed to disclose the evidence against you. It can work or the judge may give you a new trial date As you already know you can't do a written respose and attempt the lack of disclosure tactic as what the cop wrote during his rebuttal can be viewed as the evidence during your "real trial".


So again what were your infractions? loud exhaust, modified tailights, and ????

Don't even go the racial profiling route you will lose. You can't prove it as the only thing you will show is speculation on your part. All the cop has to say is " Were on the side of the road and as he passed us, we noticed his tailights and as they looked modified we pulled him over". That's it your case is done. Disprove that your exhaust is illegal, and tailights are not modified.

You are forgetting the human element of judges. Cops in the eyes of judges are for the most part oustanding citizens enforcing the law. While we the public as a whole are not bad people but we will try anything to get out of a ticket. Nevermind that it's just a minor infraction so that means more money to the state whom they happen to work for. So yeah a little biased they are.

God Bless America! I love our police and justice system, I don't konw how you guys could talk bad about it. I mean I've been driving down the street in a nice neighborhood and pulled over befor, and I know why, because I'm black and black people are from the hood and up to no good, so even if my mom works for the police staton and my car is bone stock i'll still get pulled over because I look like I have no reason to be in that area or I have drugs on me or whatever. So from now on don't get mad when you get a DWB, just enbrace it, take it all in and enjoy it.! I do, because being pulled over is always FUN!

My favorite question is "Do you have any outsanding warrants or citations?" That's even before they ask for license and registration. I've been pulled over by Rancho Cucamonga P.D. so much I almost know all the patrol officers. But still haven't got a ticket. Some are punks, and others are just bored. Driving a smog exempt car helps "ALOT".

 

Good luck on that the State is nearly Bankrupt and is cutting no slack on tickets... not even the camera ones...

But yea. Its hilarious...I've been in plenty of my white friends cars...STi's, Supra's, GTR's...getting pulled over...or blasting down the highway at 140mph...etc. And they all get let off with a warning. But no...not me..I've never received a warning. Ever...

Even when I was dating a model..that was white... still... I got cited.

I got a ticket from San Bernardino County Sheriffs, but I'm in the same boat as Aeka_GSR because I'm paper white. Actually I'm even whiter than him. So yes, evidently its white folks and blacks that get pulled over now.

It was in Modesto where I got the ref ticket. Riverside PD has better things to do than pass out chicken **** tickets, you have to be very obvious to get pulled over in Riverside.

Compared to the east coast (where I'm from), L.A. is tame. Driving around in a screaming red R1 in Michigan is asking for police "questioning"; South Carolina thinks I'm trafficing drugs! They'd have their pieces out more than a **** star! In L.A., I get the finger point and a head nod, as if to say, "yo tight ride". Then again, the time I've spent here has been on the West side & Sherman Oaks. I guess they were just thinking he's an actor.

 

well in NY if you're black or brown all you need to do is walk around and you'll probably get pressed up by the cops. **** one time I got pressed up at gun point and all I did was walk outta my buddies building with two empty 40's in my hand.
