Talking Bio Diesel Rotary?

Now i know we all love and enjoy our rotary powered cars, but lets face it. with the economical crisis and the way things are going with oil (which is not a renewable energy source) i think its just going to be harder and more expensive for us to keep this up. so i was effing around the net and thought to myself that diesel engines are everywhere and can run on bio diesel with no modifications; what about a rotary engine. then i came across this website/forum of some engineers that made an engine based on the wankel rotary and is the same size and produces more power and can run on biodiesel.

just thought id throw it out there and see what yall think.

i have an innate feeling im going be flamed on for this..lol

sorry mods if im not suppose to post another forum link on here. its for science!

If it was "tested successfully..." 4 years ago, why are there no actual pictures of the gizmo on their web site?

Looks like a venture capital honeypot, to me.

Yeah 4 years ago when it first came out. There are a few other rotary type motors out there that have also been tested with some big HP claims but none of them have seen the light of day.

The current design of the rotary won't work as a diesel. You would need to raise the compression past 18:1 to start.

E85 is a mainly renewable energy source and has been proven to work.

i like the diagram of the engine without a video of the successful prototype in operation. it is a ploy to get investors. look at http://www.freedom-motors.com/ for example and how many investors he's had buy in yet he still hasn't moved the project to a location where actual testing could be performed legally to move forward. that flying car has been collecting dust for decades and never will see the light of day again.

The first thing that caught my eye about that bio-diesel rotary is those pins will wear and then not seal on both sides. Next, the spacing between the pins SUCKS! Look at all that lost intake air after the port passes the pin, and this continues through all cycles of the "engine". Great idea, bad execution, imho.
