Sucks but you gotta be pretty dumb to go out onto the freeway/street to see the race better.
Kinda like the spectators in rally racing. You know, the ones that stand on the outside of the turn as a 2600lb car comes barrelling at them?

Sorry to bring back a thread but....
Some of us out here who street race on occasion do it because our drag track is WORSE than the street pavement.....
Sac raceway has more bumps/potholes/dips etc... than the old streets around here.
Now I dont race/car test in the city or high activity section's, I go out to the old farm land roads that go on for miles on end with nothing but nice smooth pavement. For some reason ALL of the roads where I go were re-paved less than a year ago.
Other reason, for me at least, is because that $150 for thunderhill is being used to pay for insurance, gas, needed parts, etc.... I dont have a full time job due to school. I work at my dad's shop to pay off the needed bills and sell parts or do side jobs to buy the parts that I need for my car.
I will soon be able to afford it though, once im finished with UTI by next March and am at either the lexus or toyota dealership out here though.
Just saying that there are some cases were some tracks are shittier than the safe to race/car test roads, and that not everyone who street races are complete morons and just do it wherever.
