wtf is there to talk about? street racing is bullshit remember. I know my limits when it comes down to doin dump ****. i've seen my fair share of some crazy **** go bad, so don't assume i'm just some "lil street racer" not given a damn about anyone around me. if you really want to TALK, we will.

 

1st. You're not in Japan. Touge is not a word in the dictionary, and I can see that only little kids use that **** to make sound like really fast "racers".

2nd. My RX-7 like Phoenix 7s FC has something called power. Its what FWD POS cars don't have. My seven now on jack stands can run circles around any of the three Turbo civics I built.

3rd. I don't know what "dump ****" is. I assume it has to do partly with your personal associations, and partly with your view on life. Either way there is **** involved and I don't want to get anywhere near it.

FWD is not POS, I drive my Speed 3 to track and it is great, I haven't had a RWD that can run away from me, except for the Corvettes. The new JDM Civic Type R is faster around a track than the S2K, and the Speed 3 is faster around Laguna Seca then S2K.

Go to Pro level, in SCCA World Challenge, Mazda 6 and Acura TSX, RSX dominates the BMW 3 Series... In Koni Challenge, Acura TSX finished top 3 on the podium, and the only car on the top 10 was a BMW 330. I think the best RX-8 finished in 16th. Still think RWD is superior?

All of you need to stop thinking that RWD is the best driving platform ever, every platform has it owns characteristics. Understeer can be easily fixed with a FWD, just modulate the throttle. If you say FWD will just go straight if you try to go fast in a corner, it is because the driver went in too fast in a corner, it can happen to a RWD also.

 

as justin said the FWD platform definitely is not a POS, the new speed 3 is an example of a great performing FWD car.

And Dial 8 if your car has power that no FWD can possibly have. Can it beat a R1 going from 80-160 pull. I know a few civics in the bay area that can do that. Im not saying that my seven is any better than yours I know even my TII is not very fast. But you seem to talk as if your seven>ALL FWD cars. but maybe im wrong this is the internet, and we all know its "serious buisness"

The whole RWD>FWD **** is so cliche. you need to appreciate all different kind of car tuners, because they are all fast on their own different level. along with the whole attitude of " I go to track Im better than you blah blah blah, because I don't believe in street racing". I really don't give a ****, I do street race and what about it? do you really care that I do.

While I respect your opinion Justin, I would expect you to understand why those cars mentioned won/ were competitive in that class. Do I think FWD cars are crap compared to my car-Yes. Do I have respect for Honda because they all have something my FC will ever have-Yes. But going fast in a straight line in a FWD is dumb, end of story, and yes my 7 can do that a whole lot better.

that argument is kind of like whats better on the street, full drag or full drift? Yeah they can go super fast in the forward direction, but my car turns....oops. And cars like that would have a hard time fitting into a really competitive class in Auto-X, Time Attack, Road Racing, and anything but street racing. If a civic is built to beat a bike, its only going to be used in one type of area.

 

ALL points are well taken but track driving and street driving are not the same. A car that OWNS R1s on the street doesn't necessarily perform the same at the track. I've seen well setup auto-cross civics and then I've seen high HP street civics (enough power to kill TIIs) with no suspension/brake mods.

There is a huge gamut of performance on the street. Like I said earlier, after a while it just became a bunch of kids with fast cars, bravado and minimal skill. You of all people should understand what I'm talking about. You really don't see the difference between the street racers on the road and those that aren't crazy with the need for speed? I can, the street racers think they own the road. Get out of their way or risk getting hit.

Would you disagree that once at the limit the AWD/RWD is more forgiving and gives you more room to play? I include awd because for some reason you thought I was stating that RWD owns all, which isn't the case.

I just bought a whole suspension deal from mazdatrix. Full bushing set, rear camber bar, front sway bar, end links, pretty much everything. Then later that night i found out i could of saved a bunch of money if only i had shopped around and asked around a lil bit. I wasnt really pissed, but just mad at myself for being so damn impulsive. also, i'm very thankful that my friend that told me i could of saved over $40 dollars alone on the bushing set didnt make fun of me, or ridicule me. That helped me save face.

its a characteristic that we all have and we have to fight to overcome.
