Guys, Brian will come out for plane fre, a place to stay, and ~3 or more interested parties. he may come out for fewer depending on his schedule which seems to be pretty flexible. Carl

As an aside, I think we will turn Saturday into a Tuning/Dyno day. The morning will be spent tuning Jim Kellys monster FC, and we will do pulls in the afternoon. 3 pulls for 75.00, if we can get 5 guys or so, I can get the rate down to 65.00 per car, add 10.00 for AFR. Carl 707-696-2705

Call me if interested, the dyno is a Dynojet in Santa Rosa.

Rynberg and others in the Bay Area that can't make it to this event and want to start another event.

Let's see if we can plan another in the near future.

Update, the dyno operator has agreed to a price of 40.00 for two pulls(more if time allows) with air fuel, this is great deal IMHO. If time allows we will offer more pulls at no additional charge. In my area getting a dyno appointment at all is difficult, and prior to this shop opening, the only shop around was charging 100.00! Here is the contact info Black Sheep Performance

Thanks, Carl

Isn't it better to tune in the winter where the air is cold?

Guys, looks like there is enough interest for a second visit in a month or so, there are at least three, or four guys interested that could not make this session. I will be happy to arrange dyno time again if you guys want. Carl

What, are you city snobs trying to exclude us valley people?
I'm good to go anytime after next week (unless I find those elusive 1300cc injectors..)

What do you have, a carb setup?

ECUs all have temperature corrections. Once the corrections are set accurately, there should be almost no change in AFRs, no matter the temperature. Even if they're not spot on, you certainly wouldn't be running "dirt rich", that's just ridiculous.

You have to program the corrections on a stand alone.

The PFC has fairly decent starting points for all of those corrections...are you starting from scratch with a Haltech?

So far:

RX Heven had a motor problem after about 6 hours of both street and dyno tuning (three each respectively). Still not positively sure about the cause, but I think it's fuel octane related due to excessive 2-stroke premix.

Carl's hit 396rwhp so far and has alot more room left. That was at about 1 bar of boost with a less-than-aggressive tune on 111 octane. Doing to go a bit more *****-out tomorrow (Sunday) and see what she does.

Jim Kelly from Portland, OR in an FC3S w/ a Cosmo RE and Holset H1E made 417rwhp at 15-16psi on a very conservative tune. Very powerful car!

Alex K from SanFran having fuel pump, fuel filter, voltage, and trigger problems; couldn't street tune or dyno yet.

Gerrit's car -- no time to get it on the dyno yet. Doing it Sunday.

I'll post up some vids and pictures once I get situated.

Carl here at the shop, Hats off to Brian and Black Sheep performance, never have I seen an individual, and a shop put forth such an effort. Brian worked endlessly on mechanical issues on every owners car, and Black Sheep cut unreal deals on dyno time, charging peolple for only the time they were actually tuning, as opposed to how long they were strapped down. anyway, I'll elaborate later, but suffice to say that everyone working on the cars over the last three days has done one heck of job.
I have, as Brian posted tuned a conservative map to 1 bar, on a third gear pull, this yielded 396rwhp, and 348TQ, today we hope to tune at 20, and hopefu;lly 25 psi, I'll keep you all posted, and TYes, Brian will be back in norcal in the next month and a half. Later guys, Carl Byck

Well, I'm calling it a day, 506.55 rwhp/387ftlbs @25 psi, 449/332 @22 psi this is on a small street port S4/5 motor, HKS cast manifold/3.5DP 3" exhaust w/rb presilencer stock 2mm seals/111 octane 6725-11.5 plugs, stock coils. AFRs are mid to high 11s, conservative timing(for the fuel/plugs etc). What can I say, I am very pleased. The car had ALOT more in it, but it is 90* at the dyno, and the iAT were getting into the 120* range. I am adding water injection, and cleaning up my entire install, I think we can make this motor last a long time at ~450rwhp(20 psi) on the track. Once again, hats off to Brian. Also, the torque hits its peak by ~4500rpm, and flat lines all the way to redline, this should make a very nice road race set-up. I'll get the graphs scanned later. her is a digital camera photo we scanned of one run, the WB blew out the back of the car, which is why that is wacked. http://www.boost-world.com/media/Dyno/Carls%20506hp.JPG Carl
