No worries guys, and yep - showtime is this weekend!!
The tune pricing varies from $300-400+ depending on your setup and from car to car. Stock twins will be the cheapest. I would recommend bringing some cash with you to make it easy, but I'm sure there are banks nearby the area too.

Mine got 346 whp at 12 psi... Gt35r single with a moderate tune for linear power/torque curve.. Car drives real nice... Can't wait to take it to the track!
Thanks Eric for organizing this!

Mine did 260rwhp @ 12 psi mostly stock. After chatting with Steve now I have a shopping list to get ready for the next time. :-) I'm with killjoy7, sign me up and I have a friend that's want to do it too.

Steve and the Tech3 shop rocked! Was missing a couple of parts in my vacuum hoses, drove me to get the parts, put them in quick time and still got my session done before the next appointment.

i know chris used to handle these but he hasn't been online in a while. I need a tune myself so i've taken the liberty of contacting steve and am volunteering to set this up.
After talking with steve, he needs deposits paid and confirmed at least 4 weeks in advance before he flies out here to tune. So in an effort to get this going asap, and for those that are still waiting on a tune, we need at least 5 people on the list.
If you'd like for steve to fly out and tune around the mid to late february timeframe, i need a $200 non-refundable deposit. pm me for payment!! i can take paypal or you can pay me in person if you're local (i'm in hayward).
1. Ericsworld - fd3s rx-7 / powerfc

The faster we can get 5 people with deposits down, the faster steve can fly out and tune!!
Actual tuning prices vary depending on what you need done and your engine's configuration. They should start from around $350-$400. Steve said he might use tech3 again in san jose as the venue for the tuning, but it may be tbd.

start with a boost leak test.
a properly sized/fitted 35R(T4, .96A/R, 3" turboback) should be doing about 410-420whp by 12psi. old school garrett T3 turbos(restrictive) would likely be closer to what you netted, if so i would consider upgrading the turbine snail.

Came up short and could only get 309 @ 12 psi. Steve said this was apparently due to 1.5-2 psi of pressure drop from the intercooler at high RPM's, so I was actually boosting less than 12.
Here's my dyno graph, you can see how the power stops climbing and starts to drop after 6k:
Stock engine with stock ports, Precision 5866 w/ A-Spec short runner manifold, Dual 44mm Tial Wastegates, HKS Twin Power, 9's all around, Defined V-Mount. No boost controller, ran the wastegates' vacuum lines to the compressor housing and intercooler piping.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still pleased with the outcome and the fact that my car is now tuned and drivable. I literally finished up my single turbo conversion and started the car for the first time on Saturday, then tuned the next afternoon
I'm glad this tuning session was overall a success for everyone. We should have another one later!

that's pretty cool. yeah 12psi seems low for single turbo/vmount. what fuel injectors do you have?

don't get me wrong, i'm not trying to pick anyone apart but i would be curious why the figures seem low and would be trying to diagnose why they were. tunes aren't cheap but i also know Steve nor i for that matter ever want to diagnose all the cars that get strapped to the rollers. but for $500+ bones i always hate seeing people leave disappointed. some cars just need way too much weeding through, can be way too time consuming.

Thanks Ben for the heads up - my car actually has a cat and exhaust leak...I am pretty happy w/ the current power level. Since I track the car at Infineon most of the time, I am after linear power more than max potential
