I know Chris used to handle these but he hasn't been online in a while. I need a tune myself so I've taken the liberty of contacting Steve and am volunteering to set this up.

After talking with Steve, he needs deposits paid and confirmed at least 4 weeks in advance before he flies out here to tune. So in an effort to get this going ASAP, and for those that are still waiting on a tune, we need at least 5 people on the list.

If you'd like for Steve to fly out and tune around the Mid to Late February timeframe, I need a $200 non-refundable deposit. PM me for payment!! I can take PayPal or you can pay me in person if you're local (I'm in Hayward).

The faster we can get 5 people with deposits down, the faster Steve can fly out and tune!!

Actual tuning prices vary depending on what you need done and your engine's configuration. They should start from around $350-$400. Steve said he might use Tech3 again in San Jose as the venue for the tuning, but it may be TBD.

I'm thinking of getting things together in AZ if we get enough interests here. How much is he usually expecting to earn per visit? and where is he located? does he have a shop with dyno to which I can just tow my car?

 

I can check to see, is this for your RX-8 buddy? I was hoping there'd be more interest from "typical" (i.e. PowerFC) RX-7's looking to get tuned by now to fill up some slots.

He's in Texas, probably wouldn't be a bad idea to just tow it to his shop since you're in AZ. 1421 N. Cowan Ave. Lewisville, TX 75057

If this falls through, I'll probably just tow my car to SoCal... maybe to Nelson @ RRR for tuning.

 

I'm down, but I need to put my BNR's and manifold on, emissions block off kit, BOV, HKS twin power, and swap out the trans for a good one. If we are leaning more toward mid to late feb, that works for me

Heh - still in Alaska. This is surprise gift tune for our son. We both switched to PFC and need some help getting the cars to where they could be. I am thinking about flying down to attend hoping to pick up some pointers on tuning.

ugh, I so wanted to partake in this. I just swapped back to the stock airbox and a smaller SMIC and need a re-tune.

Tnn - How's your FD running? Did u get that rebuild done?

 

why don't you swap back the good stuff? I got new engine. mine probably 1 of the last engine by Mazda from Japan (according to my source).

I need this tune before the smog coming then swap parts in/out... lol

 

Nice to hear you got your new engine. I'm kind of tired of having to swap in and out for smog. I'm just going to leave it with the smaller SMIC and the airbox. Plus I like having a regular sized battery lol. I don't drive around enough so my car battery always dies out so its nice to have a full size battery in the car again.

Hope the tune goes well, if I'm not working that day I"ll try to stop by and see how things are going.
