AUTO-X: Sat. May 14th, Camarillo Airport!

There is an auto-x coming up at the Camarillo airport on Saturday May 14th put on by the Santa Barbara Porsche club. I have gone to this event at this location twice before and it's a blast. I think around 90 cars showed up last time, all non-Porsches welcome. $60 pre-registration, $70 track registration (if space available, which I wouldn't count on) which includes lunch. 6:30AM tech opens. Take Los Posas Exit off 101, South of freeway, right on Pleasant Valley Rd, right on Airport way to T, then follow signs.

http://www.pca.org/zone8/ , then click on "events", "autocross", "events schedule", then the May 14 event for full event details.

Call Steve Lutz at 805-983-7171 or email Steve.Lutz@ATK.com if more info is needed.

I'll be there, anyone else think they can make it?

taking about Camarillo. I was wondering how many people in the area of Camarillo have RX-7 and/or where the Camarillo people meet at. I'm moving there at the end of the year. Fumachu I know about you but I don't think you own a FD any more but I need to meet up with you because I will need your help when I do my sleepy head light mod like you did your but I'm thinking using Hella 90mm HID bi-xenon.

There is around 10 or so guys around Camarillo that are into 7's. We try and get together every month at Topper's Pizza with the So Cal 7 Club, but attendance has been small.

Let me know when you get in, and we can get together. I have no problem helping you.

Awe man. I gotta work on the trirotor. I won't be going. Watch out for the Porsche owners. They can get snobby.

And say Porsche correctly. "Pour-sha" not "pour-shhhh"

Well the event was a blast, I ended up coming in 7th in X Class (everything that's not a Porsche) with a 55.4 which had I think 54 vehicles in it. Pretty happy with that considering this is my first event in this car and I'm still figuring it out. My bro with a 400rwhp 300zx tt came in 4th, my other bro with a supercharged e36 M3 came in 20-something as did our friend with a 669rwhp 300zx tt.

A miata came in 1st with a 51.X , an old race prepped datsun came in 2nd, and an nice looking yellow s2000 with work wheels came in 3rd.

Nice to meet you guys DriveFast7 and Alpine. Hope to see more of you guys at the next camarillo airport event which is June 12th. This next event is apparently going to be put on by the Ventura County Corvair club, but all vehicles are welcome. This event is only $30-$40 depending on when you register, I'll post up the registration info tomorrow.
