Thumbs up Apex Seal's what you running?

Okay going on boost by summer t-72 on the bottle 150 shot

question here is what seals are he/she running and what are your out comes?

Also has anyone ran the super seals that puerto rico is running? They claim to withstand boost up to 30 pounds no problems and are better then the ceramic seals.

3mm seals are over rated and suck on boost. they dont flex and thats where the issues come into play. TEDDY i can tell you that 90.9% of the guys back home a have OE seals in their motors and they are running really high boost 50+psi. **** atkins was sponsorin carlos gonzalez who wasnt even using their seals he was using OE , but still claim that he did use atkins seals for sponsorship reasons , you see in my book thats is wrong but hey thats oki for ya
my 2 cts dont waste you money on ceramics ore anything else OE all the way its been proven time and time again by most of the fastest rotaries in the world.

I say Cryo treated Mazda 2 piece are the only way to go unless you can afford NRS ceramics.

The two I rebuilt had Mazda OEM seals. The one Karack rebuilt for my FD has Atkins seals.

TO answer the question Single Turbo GT35/40 and no I wasn't running "Mad Boost" I was Mad as hell when they blew to a bad tank of gas... the whole idea was to have them be able to take some punishment and survive...

It's all in the tuning. Even the best seals will fail with poor tuning. And IMHO 3mm seals are simply a crutch that allows for errors in tuning. 2mm OEM seals FTW.

But if you want to run aftermarket seals then I would say Atkins. Because at least when they break they tend to turn into dust instead of hard pieces of seal that will take out your turbine wheel on the way out. *Thanks to Ben for teaching me that*

And yes, ceramics are the best but not a lot of people can actually afford those.

Atkins seals work just fine under boost. I don't know who fed you that info. They aren't as tough as RA seals or ceramics, but I do know that Atkins seals hold up to boost and I've even seen them hold up to repeated detonation. I was 100% serious when I said that your tune/tuner is 10 times more important than what seal you're using.
